Jay and Silent Bob are two extremely popular and hilarious characters, and now we are getting a game where we get to control them and use them to kick some ass in this brand new beat 'em up side-scroller. It is a surprise to see these characters in this game genre, but it looks super fun. So call over a friend, and have a super fun, crazy and nostalgic time while playing Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch.

They Are Back!

If you're not familiar with the characters Jay and Silent Bob, they are from a famous movie franchise called well, Jay and Silent Bob. Their humor is terrific, so it is no surprise that someone decided to take both characters and make a game about them. However, it might still come as a surprise that it is a side-scroller beat 'em-up game, but in all honesty, the game looks fantastic. It seems to capture the humor of both characters perfectly, and the combat seems super cool and fun. And what's most impressive is that all art in it is hand-drawn, so everything in the game looks visually fantastic.

This game genre might tug on the heartstrings of some old-school gamers, especially those who grew up in arcades, playing games like Street of Rage, or for the newer generation, Castle crashers and Battle Chef Brigade. However, it seems that Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch is going more with the old-school style, as it appears that the game won't have an online mode, only split-screen and remote play. If you want to feel the nostalgia, call a friend over, sit on the couch, and play the game together!
