However, we have some big Mario game fans here so we wanted to share a few personal recommendations for you to check out.

Ok, it may seem obvious, but lets get the classic Mario games out of the way first. We have all the originals here, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3, and of course Mario’s jump to 16 bits in, Super Mario World. These are classics that will never go out of style so we felt that they had to at the very least be mentioned here.

Before we jump into some more of Mario’s other types of adventures, we wanted to stick with 2D for just a moment with one of the more underappreciated Mario games and that is New Super Mario Bros 2. This was such a fun 2D Mario game and granted you could argue it did nothing radically new. However, the gimmick of this game where you had to try and collect 1 million coins was so addictive and put a unique twist on the whole Mario collecting coins thing that has been around since the first Super Mario game.

Like many other people, we love the Mario Kart Games series here and while the obvious choice for a Mario games section is to highlight Mario Kart 8 and call it a day, we wanted to go a little more obscure and weird. No, we are not talking about the tag team action of Mario Kart: Double Dash! We are talking about, Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 which is the arcade version of Mario Kart by Namco that features characters like Pac-Man! This is a very unique Mario game and one that not too many people have had the pleasure to play all the way through.

If you want those awesome Mario games that are fun 3D platformers, we have you covered there too. While everyone has played the classic, we actually suggest you try out Super Mario 64 DS as this one lets you play as other characters, adds in a few extra bits, and has a whole host of fun mini-games, it is honestly the best way that you can play the classic, Super Mario 64. If you want to go on one of Mario’s more cinematic adventures, check out the always delightful, but fiendishly difficult, Super Mario Sunshine.

For those who want to embark on a Mario RPG adventure, we have all of the Mario games that are part of the RPG genre right here too. No matter if you want the whimsy of Mallow in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Or perhaps you want the charm that comes from the very first Paper Mario game? We even have the wacky antics of the brothers in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga as well as the other games in this iconic Mario RPG series. These are perfect if you want a Mario game that offers a great story and more than just platforming.

Do not forget all those crazy Mario games that are perfect for those who want some Mario multiplayer action. We have all the Mario Party games such as the original, Mario Party 2 with its awesome costumes for the characters to wear. The motion control craziness of Mario Party 8 and even some handheld Mario Party fun with titles such as Mario Party: Island Tour. These games are a blast if you are looking for something that is a little bit more on the wacky side when it comes to Mario and all of his buddies.
