Opportunity: A Sugar Baby Story

I was not sure what to expect with Opportunity: A Sugar Baby Story, but I had heard mixed things about it so decided to see for myself what this was all about. Well, this is a lewd visual novel that could not have clicked with me anymore! The thing is, while I loved this and found it wholesome, fun, and even pretty sexy. I on the other hand can see why there are some people whom this did not click for. I wanted to share my opinions on the game so you can hopefully get a better idea of if this is a game for you.

The Perils Of Adulthood!

One of the things that I liked best about Opportunity: A Sugar Baby Story is that the main character, Jacqueline is just so likable and in many ways relatable. Jacqueline is a single mother to two kids, she has a rather lame job, rent to pay, food to buy, and student loans that seem like they are never going away. She tries her best to keep it all together, but she is stressed, tired, and is looking for something more… that is when she gets an interesting offer.

Be My Sugar Daddy!

You see, Jacqueline (without going into spoilers here) comes across an old friend who comes back into her life with a rather interesting offer. Not only will this improve her financial situation, but it will also improve the fact she has gotten laid in a couple of years! The story is not all seedy and vulgar like some other lewd visual novels can be. What we have here is a more “slice of life” kind of story that actually does have a lot of heart. I loved it, but I can see why those looking for something that gets straight to the action may not get into it.

Just Enjoy It

While the slower paced and slice of life style of Opportunity: A Sugar Baby Story is one of the things that is polarizing about the game, another thing is the gameplay style. This is a lewd visual novel game where most of the gameplay is you reading the story as it unfolds before you. Now, you do get to make choices here and there, but as much as I love the game, if I am being honest, this game is going the way that it wants to go so your choices do not feel like they exactly have a ton of weight to them.

A Real Slice Of Life

One of the best things about this game and one thing that even those that did not love the story or the gameplay of Opportunity: A Sugar Baby Story have to admit is that the game looks amazing. This is such a well drawn and stylized game that I was taken in right from the start. It has some great lewd content that as it happens at a slower pace makes you appreciate it even more. However, it is the more realistic looking bodies that I think make this such a breath of fresh air, plus it fits in more with the slice of life style story that they have going on here.

Pros:

• Jacqueline is a fantastic main character
• The rest of the characters were also very entertaining
• I liked the different body types for the characters
• I really enjoyed the story from start to end

Cons:

• Some people may not like the slower pace of the story
• The choices you make do not feel all that important if I am being honest
