Meow Motors

Driving games today are a dime a dozen, but when Art Vostok released Meow Motors in 2018, it helped to introduce something a little different onto the marketplace. While it lacks the depth and the realism of most modern racing games, there is more than enough charisma in the cars and the tracks to help make Meow Motors an interesting enough game to play.

You’ll probably find that this kind of game, though, is a simple step down from popular alternatives like Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Mario Kart 64. It’s a solid enough little game, and while it won’t live up to the high standards of other major cartoon racers it does offer a fun enough gaming experience for racing lovers.

It’s a fun enough little racing game because it has enough charisma and bashful personality to make sure you can have some fun. Your job is to try and dethrone Master Duke and claim his championship position after winning a long and arduous series of races along the way.

Satisfying and enjoyable to a point, the game will give you a chance to take the charismatic protagonist, Rocky, all the way to the top of the racing charts in-game. And while the racer itself is never likely to top any chart, it offers a fun enough story to keep you focused on trying to knock the arrogant Master Duke off top spot on the podiums. You’ll get around ten championships in total to play through in the career mode, with a series of races held within each championship. Get more stars than the others, with a maximum of three per race, and you can win the championship and move on to the next one in a bid to beat the Duke.

Short-lived fun with competitive charm

While the game might lack the same kind of depth in the racing itself, the characters and the theme of the game helps to make it compelling for kids especially. Each character also has a few nice tricks up their sleeve, which can make them a bit more interesting to play as compared to one another.

However, the depth is nowhere near as impressive as the likes of Mario Kart, so don’t expect to get the same level of variety from rider to rider here.
