The 3D games that started with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance are fantastic, and the current MK series with the fantastic Mortal Kombat 1 has proven that fighting games can also tell an epic series. Have fun pulling off all the fatalities, friendships, animalities, and all the other crazy stuff that the Mortal Kombat series has to offer!

SimCity Games

Have the time of your life playing city manager in one of the super fun SimCity games! There have been so many SimCity games over the years, many offering a unique twist on the action. For example, Bowser can come and destroy your city in SimCity on the Super Nintendo, and in SimCity 2000, you can experience the wonders of a futuristic city. From the humble, but fun beginnings to the more modern titles like SimCity 4, if you want to build the city of your dreams….. and probably watch it end up in flames, one of the SimCity games is what you need to play!

Super Bomberman Series

Get ready for some awesome action with the Super Bomberman series! An absolute staple on the Super Nintendo, many 90s gamers have fond memories of multiplayer battles in Super Bomberman and Super Bomberman 2. However, the SNES would actually get three more Bomberman games that are not as well known, but they are just as much fun! The Super Bomberman series is fantastic when it comes to playing with friends. However, the single player adventure that each game has is also a ton of fun and well worth experiencing. Just make sure you do not hold onto that bomb for too long, or you will be the one in some “explosive” trouble!

Harvest Moon Series

The ultimate coxy game franchise is the Harvest Moon series! Starting with the original Harvest Moon on the Super Nintendo, this series would make a stop on nearly every console that would follow. Build your farm, grow your crops, look after your animals, and perhaps even fall in love. There is so much to love about the Harvest Moon series, so much so that it continues to this day with its spiritual successor, the Story of Seasons series, while a new company has taken the reigns of the Harvest Moon games.

Front Mission Series

If you love sci-fi and mechs, the Front Mission series from Square-Enix are the games for you! This started all the way back with the original Front Mission on the SNES, which was a tactics-based game. However, the series has gone from strength to strength with titles such as Front Mission 4 on the PlayStation 2, Front Mission 2089 on the Nintendo DS, and there have even been spin-offs that deviate from the turn-based tactics the series is known for. The third-person shooter Front Mission Evolved is a prime example of this! This is such a fantastic series with great story telling and we have them all in one collection here.

Lufia Series

Like many other awesome RPG franchises, the Lufia series would get its start back in the 16-bit days with Lufia & The Fortress of Doom on the Super Nintendo. Since then, this epic series of fantasy RPGs has seen some other amazing entries. The Gameboy Advance would see Lufia: The Ruins of Lore, which was a spin-off and featured a more unique take on the Lufia series. We would even get Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals, which is actually a remake of the classic Lufia II). If you love RPGs, you truly owe it to yourself to experience the wonderful fantasy adventure that the Lufia series is offering.

Turrican Series

While it may not have reached the same heights as the Contra series, the Turrican series is still a fantastic collection of action packed shooters! Starting out with the original Turrican on the Commodore 64, titles like Mega Turrican and Super Turrican during the 16-bit era would bring the series to a whole new set of eyes. With great graphics, pumping music, and awesome action, it is easy to see why those who played the Turrican series in the 90s hold it in such high regard. If you love old school gaming and want to check out a series that deserves more love, grab your gun, check your courage, and try any one of the Turrican games!
