Talk about a mouth full, Splatter Beach: Side-Scrolling Erotic Grotesque Action is a wacky, lewd side scrolling action game that is every bit as violent and gory as it is lewd. This is something that, for the right person, is going to be an absolute riot! I had a blast with this and thought that the completely over the top nature of the game was so much fun. If you love over-the-top blood and insane lewd content, it does not get much crazier than what this is offering right here.

Just Trying To Make It

The setup for the crazy antics of Splatter Beach: Side-Scrolling Erotic Grotesque Action is something that I thought was a lot of fun and something that I got behind right away. Basically, our main character is a young cutie called Matsuki, and Matsuki is part of an all-girl idol group who are struggling to make it big. However, they have the great idea to do a wild and hot photoshoot on a gorgeous looking island. This could be just what they need to make people take notice of them…. However, this is no ordinary island that they have found themselves on!

Well, the photoshoot was going great, but with a title like Splatter Beach: Side-Scrolling Erotic Grotesque Action, you know that there has to be a spanner in the works. Well, just as they thought they were done and while they were still wearing their rather revealing bikinis, a zombie outbreak happens, the other idols are taken, and now Matsuki finds herself in a fight for survival and also in a fight to save the lives of her fellow idols. This is honestly pretty awesome stuff and something that I thought was a great deal of fun.

Kicking Heads And Taking Names

Gameplay wise, Splatter Beach: Side-Scrolling Erotic Grotesque Action is a 2D side-scrolling action game, think of something like Splatter House 2 on the Sega Mega Drive, and you will have an idea. You move Matsuki from left to right, fighting any monsters, zombies, giant bugs, or whatever gets in your way. I legit laughed out loud when I booted the head that was on the floor, but as well as the melee attacks, you can also find weapons like a shotgun. There are boss battles and some mini-game type situations that will require you to button mash to get out of a situation. There was more depth to the gameplay than I was expecting here, and while the controls were a tad on the floaty side, I still had a great deal of fun progressing through this absolutely insane adventure!

Everything Wants You Dead!

To say that this island Matsuki and her fellow wannabe idols have found themselves on is crazy is a massive understatement, as literally, everything wants to either eat them, have sex with them, or just flat out kill them. Splatter Beach: Side-Scrolling Erotic Grotesque Action has some of the craziest and most over-the-top visuals I have seen in quite some time. Here is one section of the game, one of our fellow idols is tied to a chair, being “pleasured” all the while a giant Saw like device is coming towards her head! Another great example is when I mistimed a jump that saw me go through some kind of shredder machine. Yes, there is a lot of sex stuff in the game, but it is the crazy and over-the-top gore that really made me have fun here. Sure, it is not for those who have a weak stomach, but if you get a kick out of blood, guts, and gore, you will have an awesome time taking this all in.

Pros:

• Mustuki is a really fun protagonist
• The crazy story about a struggling idol group was fun
• The blood and gore in this game is insane and awesome
• I found this to be a lot of fun, even when you die, it is fun!

Cons:

• The controls are a tad on the floaty side
• The extreme blood, guts and gore is not going to be cool for everyone
