I have a really cool mainly boys love visual novel for you today, Sacred Sand. This is a game that is complete. That means there is no waiting for an update, no routes that suddenly end because they are not done! Everything in the game is complete and there is a lot of content here for you to get into. I played through a few of the different endings and I found this to be a great experience and if you are into visual novels, especially those that are themed more around dudes, this is a game that you simply must check out.

Two Tribes Go To War

Sacred Sand has a fantasy setting to it which is something that I always really like. The Grandoan army is at odds with a race of people from the sand lands called the Shaherons. They have created out outpost that is looked after by a young man called, Lorr. Lorr does not really care about the war, he just wants it to come to an end so that his brother will not be harmed. On the surface, Lorr has a pretty easy job, he just working at this outpost, and in theory, it is a safe place for him to be…...

What Is A Second Prince Anyway?

Things get pretty rough for Lorr. You see, the outpost is raided and he finds himself captured by Rhael who is the second prince of the Shaherons! The thing is, Lorr can speak the language of both the Grandoan army and the Shaherons so he is put in the middle of the two and finds himself in some rather interesting and dangerous situations. A huge part of what makes this so great is the interaction that you have with the characters, there are several characters in the game, including one female and each one has their own story for you to experience.

21 Ways To Go

One of the most impressive things about Sacred Sand is that there are 21 endings for you to experience! Two of the characters, Rhael and Aydin have the most comprehensive story arcs, but all of the other characters also have their own things going on, each with a couple of endings so there is a ton of replay value here. I felt like the game was always throwing choices my way and it did a wonderful job at making me feel like I was actually part of this story and this world. I have only seen a few of the endings and I am not sure if I have it in me to see all 21, but you simply cannot complain about the vast amount of choice and replayability that this game is offering you.

So Many Unique Styles

I love the overall art style of Sacred Sand, it has a kind of hand-drawn, put down in a sketchbook kind of vibe about it which I really do like. Each of the characters has their own unique design. Rhael for example has that cocky and arrogant look about him, you can tell that he knows he is a good-looking guy! Aydin on the other hand has a typical fantasy RPG knight look that I thought was great. Although when it comes to the knight look, no one can compete with Charlos and his epic Man-At-Arms style mustache that he is sporting! I also thought it was cool how this is a boy's visual novel, but they still had a cute female character in Learah.

Pros:

• The game has 21 endings so it has a ton of replay value
• I thought that Lorr was a very interesting main character
• There are so many interesting characters to get to know
• I did feel like my choices mattered

Cons:

• Some of the storylines feel rather short
• The art style is something I love, but I can see it not clicking with some people
