Kunoichi Tsubaki

Playing as a ninja is cool, but Kunoichi Tsubaki is extra cool as it is about female ninjas who have special cat powers. Lewd RPGs are not exactly in short supply these days, but this was one that was easy enough to get into and quite short in its length so it is the ideal game for those that want a lewd RPG, but they do not want one where they have to give up 50 plus hours of their life to get to the good stuff.

Those Pesky Demonic Warlords!

The premise of Kunoichi Tsubaki is one that I thought was really cool. It is set in ancient Japan and this town/village or whatever you want to call it is being ruled and oppressed by these demonic Warlords. Most of the townsfolk just roll over and take it, but you are part of a secret society of ninja warriors that have their own demonic powers.

The story on offer here is pretty straight to the point. I would not say that it is amazing or going to win any awards or anything like that, but I will say it is charming enough and kept me interested until the end. I do feel at the price they are asking for the game; it should have been fully voice acted as that would have made the characters even more interesting in my opinion.

Two Become One

That was not an intentional cringy Spice Girls reference there. What I am talking about is that the gameplay of Kunoichi Tsubaki is like two games in one. During the day you cannot just go about being a ninja, killing people left and right. Instead, you play as a sexy maid who infiltrates and gets information. Then at night, you can be a ninja, sneak around and take down the enemy. There is a heavy emphasis on stealth where you can sneak past and take down an enemy without getting into a fight.

You can also transform into a cat when you lust meter is high enough. This gives you even more stealth abilities, but you cannot sneak attack an enemy. The game has a lot of fun lewd scenes that happen if you just so happen to get caught. The CG here is of a pretty high-quality and it does add to the overall fun of the game. You can probably blow through the game in 3 to 4 hours so it is on the short side, but that is an aspect of the game I actually liked.

Cute, But Deadly

The presentation of Kunoichi Tsubaki is very, very nice. It has that top down style you would expect from a lewd RPG game and it does what it does very well. The characters are little and cute and I already mentioned those high-quality hentai CG’s that are hot and steamy and very well done. The whole Japanese setting of the game is one that I really like and things are far more detailed than you would expect.

The soundtrack fits the visuals perfectly. As I said earlier, I just wish that they had gone that extra mile and had some voice acting. Even if it was Japanese only, I feel it would have added a great deal to the game.

Pros:

• I thought the whole premise of the game was a lot of fun
• It was very easy to get into
• I liked how short the game was
• The graphics are fantastic
• I liked playing as a maid during the day and a ninja at night!

Cons:

• The game feels like it needs voice acting
• The asking price if you buy it on STEAM is a bit high in my opinion
