Hey there, kiddos, and welcome to Fraymakers! Are you looking for a fun fighting game filled some of gaming’s biggest icons. Some of them will mascots you’ve definitely seen before, others less so, but there is still a lot of fun to have throughout. Primarily a platforming fighting game, there are a lot of characters, stages and modes available, but this game is pushing something far more engaging than many others of its genre; customization for all of those aforementioned things. That’s right, its time to make this game your own. If any of this sounds like something that would pique your interest, then keep reading as we get into it.

Gameplay

As I stated a second ago, this is a platformer battle game much like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or Brawlhalla. And, much like those games, you will find it very easy to pick up with the movement, control, combos and such being easy to learn. Where this game really finds its stride is being hard to master. You will have to play a lot to learn all the ins and outs of your preferred characters. While other people are out hanging out with friends, you must study the blade. It takes time, but once you’re destroying enemies with an unstoppable combo that makes them rethink their life choices, you will have the satisfaction you so crave.

A big part of Fraymakers is that it offers a lot of fantastic customization options. You are free to customize characters, stages, modes and more for massive replay value. Compete against friends to make the most interesting game, or challenge yourself by making things as hard as possible. Is there an area of the combat that you lack in? Make your own training arena. This is a fantastic addition to this genre of game that I am surprised more games do not do.

Visuals

This game is filled with some brilliantly rendered visuals. Due to the characters being pulled in from various different IP’s, the title has mixed them all together in its own art style that makes everything look like its supposed to be in a title by itself. For instance, among other indie game characters, this title has the titular character from Octodad: Deadliest Catch and many more.

The world around the players is interesting with unique designs, brilliantly diverse and vibrant color palette, and enough diversity to keep things fresh and interesting. There are over 80 animations per character, ensuring that everything looks great all the time.

Online Play

Yes, that’s right. There is online play so you can jump into a game with or against your friends any time. With the games implementation of Rollback Netcode, the gold standard for fighting games, this title has made sure that you will enjoy the smoothest possible online experience.
