Farmer’s Life is a neat farming simulation game where you step into the shoes of an old bachelor named Kashmir and live out your life in the middle of eastern Europe. The game explores a few darker themes relating to rural life that other farming simulators don’t go near, so if you’re looking for an authentic simulation game unlike any other then this is it.

A game set in difficult times

Farmer’s Life takes place shortly after the end of World War II and aims to give players a glimpse into what life was like back in those difficult times. Managing resources will be tough, and with Kashmir being an alcoholic you’ll need to learn to cope with that, too, so you can be productive and survive under the harsh circumstances. It won’t be easy, but it should be an enjoyable challenge managing your farm and personal life. Whether you end up happy and healthy or fall deep into a pit of despair is up to you.

Life on the farm

You’ll get to perform all kinds of typical farming tasks throughout the game, including taking care of animals, crops, and keeping things clean. Your day starts when the sun rises and ends when it sets, so make the most of your time. If you put the effort into maintaining your farm, it’ll definitely pay off, as well-kept crops and animals will provide you with lots of useful resources down the line.

Farm life doesn’t come without all sorts of challenges relating to the weather and dangerous wildlife too though, so be prepared for a range of external problems you’ll need to deal with. Not everything will go right the first time, so don’t fret if something goes wrong – you’ll be able to learn from your mistakes and prepare more appropriately for the future.

Pesky neighbors

A big part of Farmer’s Life is the interaction with your neighbors. Depending on how you play your cards, you may make some new friends or enemies, so be very careful with how you interact with others. Anyone you annoy may very well become a nuisance to you and your farm, so it's best to try and stay on everyone's good side.
