Not many games can leave me speechless, but Zugzwang did just that. This is a truly remarkable lewd game and something that I am struggling to come up with the words to describe, to be honest with you. When it comes to gay games, this is up there as one of the most unique games that I have ever played. It is something that words really cannot do justice to, as you have to play this for yourself to get an idea of just how wild and crazy this whole thing is.

Games Are Art

Before I get into the game, I have to talk about the developer of Zugzwang. This is a person who is not just trying to create a game with hot gay sex scenes, they actually have something to say, and the whole are video games art debate is certainly something that is on consideration for this game here. Now, some people may see it as overly pretentious and will roll their eyes at the message and meaning of this, but I think it is pretty awesome that the developer wanted to actually make something with some real substance, and I feel that they certainly did that.

An Angel Of Sex

I am going to try my best to do the story of Zugzwang justice, as there is more than what you first think here. Anyway, the basics of what is going down here is that we are an angel of sex, and in this strange dimension, we are responsible for trying to link people together so that they can have hot gay sex, and once they climax, we can then collect what is left over. Now, this may sound like it is kind of gross, and I do not want to go into spoiler territory here, but this is some pretty intense stuff, and the whole soulmates thing that is here was certainly not lost on me.

Making The Right Moves

Gameplay wise, Zugzwang is the kind of game that does take a while to get your head around. You may think that you need to be a chess master here, but once you get out of the idea that this is a full-on chess game, you will be ok. It is more about moving people into the right positions, but with the rogue-like elements, you can never know for sure what situation you will be getting into at the start of each meeting. I have heard some people say that they felt the gameplay was quite shallow and that they breezed through it. While I could not fully disagree with that, I still think that there are many moments where you will have to use a little critical thinking to make sure you get some of that sweet man juice.

Erotically Dark And Interesting

Most of Zugzwang is seen from the first person, and the game takes place in a very dark and rather strange kind of, for lack of a better word, dungeon. You will explore around, and then you come across horny guys, usually naked or in very suggestive poses, and it is up to you to help make the magic happen. With this being a gay game, you get some pretty intense gay sex scenes, but when the climax happens, and they kind of burst into their essence, it is a very cool effect. The game just has a very striking kind of look about it, which grabs your attention right from the start, and then it never lets go.
