I have to say that there are some truly great ideas with The Big Beyond. This is a lewd sandbox and visual novel game that has a fantasy setting and is something that once I got the hang of it, I really did enjoy my time with. I will say that if you like the look of this game, you have to come into it willing to “work with the game” as it is not all that intuitive as far as the gameplay goes.

An Elf On An Adventure

The game as I said before is a fantasy type setting. The Big Beyond has us playing as a brave elf that is going out on a wild adventure for fame and gold. Oh, and to bang as many fair maidens as they come across of course. It is your typical fantasy fare, but it is written well enough and some of the characters are quite interesting as well.

Clicking All Over The Place

I touched on this during the intro, but if there is one thing that is making me call The Big Beyond good instead of great it is the user interface. Clicking around the map is not intuitive at all and it can take an age just to get back to the main area. It takes quite a bit of time to get used to this. It is not bad or broken, but it can make navigating the early portion of the game quite frustrating. I will say that eventually, I got to grips with it, but it did take longer than it should have.

Laying It All Down

There is a bit of grinding in The Big Beyond, but it is not bad at all and does not even feel like you are grinding, to be honest with you. There are plenty of characters you get to talk to and there is also a basic, but fun combat system that gives the game a bit of an RPG feel about it which I liked. It feels like a pretty fleshed out game and that was something I really appreciated about the game.

These Are My Types Of Maiden!

Visually, The Big Beyond is one of the best-looking lewd games that I have played in the last year or so. This has a fantasy and hand drawn kind of style to the visuals, but the thick character models are what I really love about this game. If you like fully developed fantasy ladies with massive boobs, you are in for a real treat with this game. The various sex scenes that you will be getting as you progress are also animated very well too!

I think that there is a lot to like about what The Big Beyond is offering. I have always loved fantasy type games since I played Hero Quest when I was a kid. This one has a great amount of lewd content with some awesomely designed characters that really did make me want to keep on playing. I know that the user interface is not the best and takes a while to get used to, but I do think it is worth sticking with as there is a good game here.
