Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers, now that’s a big title, is another addition to the Super Robot Wars franchise, and it is a tactical RPG. It was released in 2016 for the Ps3 and Ps4, and the game was published by Bandai Namco, which is famous for releasing games of a wide range of genres and released some popular RPG games already, so you can expect the game to be good.

Mecha Fights

If you are a fan of giant robots fighting each other, then this is the game for you. You can choose to play between two different story paths, you can either pick to play as Touya, which is easier compared to playing with Calvina, a returning character from Super Robot Wards J.

So if you’re familiar with this type of game and new to the genre, the game now offers a beginner mode, that lets you play through the guidance scenario, which will make the game easier for newcomers so that you can have a pleasant first run, as you also will receive more funds and upgrade parts.

The game originally only had a Japanese version for the Ps3, but 2016 marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Super Robot Wars series, an English version for the Ps4 was announced and released. It was a pleasant surprise to fans of the series, as the game had improved graphics and better performance. So now the game offers new Mechas and amazing special skills.

Combat System

The game has turn-based combat, which makes it important to strategize as much as possible. Every turn you must choose the best option available to you, and after you select it, an animation will take place, and show an awesome animation of you performing your attack. After that, your turn will end, and the enemies will then attack. You will also be able to perform an all attack, a special ability with a flashy animation, that deals a large amount of damage.

The game having two stories that you can choose, means that you must play the game at least twice, so that you can get a full understanding of the game story. So if this is your first time playing a Super Robot Wars Game, it might be easier to choose to play as Touya in your first playthrough, and after you’re done, you then play as Calvina, as her story can prove to be more challenging.
