Spacelines from the Far Out

While Spacelines from the Far Out does not have a release date as I write this, I thought that it would be fun to take a look at the game and get a better idea of what it is all about. This is one game that I am very excited about and from what I have seen it is coming to both PC and console later in 2022. It looks like the kind of game that will be fun if you play it on your own, however, I have this game lined up for many multiplayer game nights with my buddies.

Take Your Seats Please

I really do not think that Spacelines from the Far Out could be any more charming than it is! The story of the game is that you want to run a successful spaceline company. What is a spaceline company? Well, it is like an airline, but instead of airplanes and flying across the world, you are using spaceships and flying across the galaxy. What gives the game its charm is the zany 1960s style presentation which I am finding hilarious.

Prepare For A Nice Smooth Flight

While the spacecraft you start out with maybe basic, Spacelines from the Far Out has a solid upgrade system. The spacecraft has 15 different systems all of which need to be looked after to ensure of a smooth flight. You can upgrade these systems as well as get new items to spruce up your ships and company as well. I like how they make it so you are always on the way to be upgrading something or getting something new as it keeps you wanting to play.

The Customer Is Always Weird!

As these are intergalactic flights, Spacelines from the Far Out has some pretty weird customers for you to deal with. You have to try and get them what they want or they may not be happy and this could lead to a visit from the inspector. To me, the gameplay has a very Overcooked kind of style to it which sees you frantically running around trying to make sure the ship is ok, but also ensuring that the customers are all happy and taken care of, even of if they are being jerks!

No Two Trips Are The Same

One thing that sounds pretty awesome is that you will not just be playing the same trips over and over again. Spacelines from the Far Out has a very smart random generator that ensures that each time you fire up the game, you never know what kind of trip or situation you are going to find yourself if. You can play the game on your own and it says that it has some pretty sophisticated AI that will work to make sure you are having the best experience possible. While I am sure I will dabble in the single-player, it is playing this with my friends that I am most excited about.

Pros:

• I love the way the game is inspired by 60s air travel
• The game is always rewarding you with upgrades and other items to keep you interested
• It has a nice and bright style to the presentation
• This looks like it is going to be a blast in multiplayer

Cons:

• There is no word on when the game will be released yet
• I am not sure if the single-player will have the same appeal as the multiplayer does
