For that reason, we will need to use science and technology to make these new planets habitable and produce useful resources. We’re probably still a few decades away from that being a reality, but you can get a taste of that future in a fun way with Roboplant.

Armed with nothing but your own creativity and an army of robots, you’ll venture out and brave all of the challenges that deep space has in store for you. Boldly Go

Roboplant takes place in a future where humanity has already solved the problem of colonizing other planets. The issue is no longer finding a place for humans to thrive, but instead finding ways to sustain its massive growth! As a part of a team designed to build food-producing hydroponic plants on other planets, you will travel to alien worlds with the robot team Beebop 179 to complete your tasks.

Find a planet, put down roots, and get to work building your farm. Making it on different planets won’t be easy, as space will always have a new challenge to throw at you, but humanity is relying on your perseverance. Think Stardew Valley with much higher stakes.

Plants From the Roboplant

You can grow all kinds of produce once you have your hydroponic farm set up. Everything from Earth-native veggies to things that are found on your new planet. You can grow whatever you want at any time, but you’ll have to do the research if you want those harvests to be successful.

That’s because each seed you plant will have its own set of conditions that it requires in order to grow successfully. If the conditions are even a little off, the seed won’t be able to grow successfully and you’ll need to start over from the beginning. Make sure you have everything your plants need before you start the growing process!

Take Care of Your Robots

The robots of team Beebop 179 aren’t your mindless, run-of-the-mill sci-fi drones. They are highly advanced beings with their own personalities and needs, and you’ll need to take extra good care of them if you want them to work in peak condition.
