Relayer

A group called Starchildren, whose members are humans with unique abilities to fight against an extraterrestrial threat, known as the Relayers. If you're a fan of mechas and SRPG, then Relayer might be the game for you. And it is your job as the commander of the squad called Stellar Gear, who used ancient alien technology to create these humanoid machines to fight back against the Relayers. So it is your job to control this squad and make sure that humanity will come out as the winner against the Relayers.

For Humanity

Relayer will focus mainly on its unique and strategic combat system and storytelling. The combat is turn-based, and you will take control of different characters, and each one of them is piloting a unique mecha with its skills and abilities. While choosing your actions, you will watch the battlefield from above, and it will look similar to a chessboard. After deciding what steps to take, the game will then show a cinematic so that you can feel how epic and good-looking your attacks look.

The game takes place in 2051, and planet Earth focuses on exploring space and everything out there to expand its territory. However, Earth is currently under invasion by these mysterious extraterrestrial beings known as Relayers. To fight back against these forces, humans with extraordinary abilities known as Starchildren appeared, and by using the technology of an ancient civilization, they were able to fight back.

It is now your job as the player to take command of the Stellar Gear. This squad is tasked with the mission to fight back against the Relayers by using the ancient technology they found, that are these humanoid machines, alongside a ship capable of interstellar travel, the Asterism. So the faith in humanity is up to you and the Stellar Gear squad. Will you be able to stop the Relayer's attack and save Earth, or will you fail and be the reason for humanity's doom.

Fight Back

Relayers combat is what makes the game interesting. It has a unique and fantastic art style, and all the animations from the different attacks look amazing. During the battle, you will need to carefully choose what to do, as making the wrong choices will result in defeat. So think a lot before acting, and always try and make the best decisions. You won't be able to win battles by simply choosing to attack all the time. Strategy is vital, so take your time and choose the right actions that will lead you to victory.

Summary

The game would be released first in Japan on February 17th, but it will now be released globally on March 24th. Relayers will be a fantastic game, especially for those who love SRPGs, so if you love games like X-COM, and Fire Emblem, be sure to keep an eye out. It is also an excellent choice for those who love mechas.
