Redemption Reapers

Redemption Reapers is a cool and badass action RPG that I am very excited to talk to you about today. As I write this, the game is not yet complete and is still a little ways away from landing on our PCs. Still, the more I read and see about this game, the more excited I get and I thought that it would be cool to take a closer look at this game and get an idea of what kind of game it is as well as some of the stuff I am most excited about.

The Mort!

The story of Redemption Reapers is something that I think sounds epic in every sense of the word. This is dark fantasy at its best! There is this evil force called The Mort and their armies have spread all over the world like a virus, just destroying humanity as it goes with no remorse or care at all. However, a rag-tag group called The Ashen Hawk Brigade are stepping up to The Mort. I am loving the whole lore here and the way that this group was not once held in high regard, but now they are humanity's only hope for survival!

Getting To Know You!

The core story is great, I think that Redemption Reapers having an evil force and a team of kind of reluctant heroes standing against them is great. However, it is the way the story is so character driven that has me interested. Granted, you will be wanting these guys to be a team on the battlefield. But the way the story builds the bonds and expands on each character's past makes for such an engaging experience. The fact the cut scenes are fully voice acted is sure to make you even more connected to the characters!

A Real Team

While the story of Redemption Reapers sounds great, it is the gameplay that I feel really is going to get people addicted to this game. You see the Ashen Hawk Brigade is made up of five fearsome characters and each one is truly a unique individual with their own weapons, abilities, and so on. It is up to you to decide how to use them in battle and also how to upgrade and improve them as you progress through the game. The battles here are very tactics based and if you love to have to manage your resources and carefully plan your attacks, you are going to have a lot of fun with this game.

Bring Me To Life

I already talked about how great the voice acting in Redemption Reapers is, however, the whole presentation in this game is epic. It has a fantastic soundtrack with amazing sound effects that make you feel like you are in this world. I also love the dark and grim look this game has. I am a huge fan of anything that is dark fantasy based and this is that to a tee! It truly is a great looking game with a style that makes it really stand out.

Pros:

• I am truly in love with this dark fantasy world they have created here
• The voice acting is great and brings it all to life
• The battles are very tactics based
• I like how each character feels very unique

Cons:

• I do worry about this getting delayed
• I am not sure if I want to play an early access build or if I would rather just wait for it to be completely finished!
