Legends of the Night City

There are some great ideas at play here in Legends of the Night City, so much so that I found myself wanting to keep on playing just a little more to see what would happen.

That’s Just The Way It Is

The story here is pretty interesting in that there was an alien invasion, and after this, men had to go and live in space, but they grow up on Earth first. It sounds weird, I know, but the game pulls it off. We play the role of a young man who, after living on Earth for a while, is now tasked with heading out into the universe and forging his own life. There are some neat ideas here, I just wish the game went a bit more in-depth with it.

Hard Work Really Is Hard

I guess I would say that point-and-click RPG is the best way to describe the gameplay of Legends of the Night City. At first, it seems awesome, kind of like a classic 90s PC game. However, the grinding that this game wants the player to do drags it down. There are parts of the gameplay I like, such as exploring and figuring out what to do, but the stat grinding brings the fun to a halt. Still, despite that, I did keep on playing as I was intrigued by the plot…. And the lewdness.

A Specific Kind Of Anime

I would say that the art style is kind of like an early 90s anime if that makes sense. The game is all done from a kind of isometric view, but you do get larger character portraits. The XXX scenes that are done in-game are a lot of fun and help make you feel more connected to them as they actually feel like they are part of the gameplay. I liked the kind of sci-fi vibes that the game had, and in all, I am pretty impressed with the overall style that the developer has gone for here.

• I thought the art and the presentation were well done

Cons:

• This game is grindy as hell!
• The story is interesting, but it could be a bit more detailed
