Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

After six years without a release, Nippon Ichi Software finally announced the upcoming release of Disgaea 6: Defiance of destiny. The Japanese game series has not received a new game for over half a decade now, and fans were really starting to worry. While there isn't yet a whole lot of information about the game, we do have a trailer and some images.

As of right now, it should release later this year for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. However, unless you live in Japan, you'll only be able to get the Nintendo Switch version. At least that's what they've announced up until now. But what else do we know about Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny? Well, we are here to talk about just that! First, what’s it about

This time the main role is occupied by a zombie named Zed, who has a hidden secret power even capable of taking on a god. Zed reincarnates in different worlds to prevent the imminent chaos of the God of Destruction, who's a threat to all demons and finds a way to stop him before it's too late.

As usual, throughout the adventure, we will meet with all kinds of peculiar creatures and characters that come from these chaotic worlds. In their craziness, they'll help us uncover the secrets about the blood bonds and determination in a dramatic story like we are used to seeing in this amazing series.

What’s new

Being the first release in the series in six years you’d expect they have to come up with great upgrades over the last title. And they actually went ahead and gave the game a completely new direction in the art and visuals. It is the first one in the series to pioneer with 3D visuals. This is a great step in making the combat and scenes much more life full. It also gives more possibilities for crazy cool animations and moments.

THey've also included new accessibility features to make the game easier for more casual players. These include Auto mode, retry and replay. This works great if you're a newcomer to the series as the game can be a bit on the challenging side. There are also deep customization options and a ton of different new possibilities never before seen in any other Disgaea game.

We are really excited to see what comes next in the already legendary Disgaea saga. It is yet unknown if the PS4 version will even release in the west, but what we know is that there's a physical release limited edition.
