In 2019 we were able to taste a thriller full of mystery in a science fiction context, which is a dish that, well presented, we have no qualms about playing. This was the case with KeokeN Interactive's work that took us on a ride to the Moon, which kept us in constant tension during the spacewalks. Now, it is the turn of its sequel. Deliver Us Mars is the name of the new game that will take us to the red planet with the same concerns as the previous adventure. Our mission will be to recover the ARCA colonial ships stolen by the mysterious Outwardians. But is this sequel as interesting of a game as the first one? Well, let’s talk about it right now!

About the game

Players will take a flight to the Red Planet in a sequel to Deliver Us The Moon, which will take place in third person and will make "a radical leap in both gameplay and narrative". Our ship makes an emergency landing on Mars. As soon as it recovers and reactivates its companion drone, the teaser closes with a beautiful landscape of the planet.

A decade after the events of Deliver Us The Moon's Fortuna mission, the studio has built a sci-fi story that will include references to the first installment, although all players will be able to enjoy the video game without having played the first title. They promise new mechanics and a scaling system that will make it possible to traverse the terrain of Mars with ease.

Gameplay

In the development diary it is revealed that the the game will showcase the complicated relationship between a father and his daughter. Although the full story of Deliver Us Mars will be revealed in the coming months, observant fans of Deliver Us The Moon will be able to guess the identity of the protagonist of this sequel based on the visual clues in this development diary.

Unlike the main character in Deliver Us The Moon, this hero has a voice. His personality, motivations and story will unfold in his own words as he explores the Martian landscape and the game's multiple locations. Thanks to motion-capture performances from a talented cast, this sequel represents a huge leap in narrative presentation, allowing developers KeokeN Interactive to capture the emotional nuances of the characters and increase the level of drama players will feel throughout the story.

Deliver Us Mars is an incredible journey that, just like its predecessor, takes a lot of inspiration on the classics of science fiction pieces. It somehow even has more personality than the first game. We also have to mention that it has some of the best visuals we’ve seen in a game in a while.
