Animal Shelter – Vet Clinic is DLC for the original game. It adds a new vet clinic for the pets at the shelter so you can take care of them in a novel way. On top of this, Vet Clinic works with just the base game. Even if you don’t have any of the other DLC you can still use the Vet Clinic with the pets you have.

With the new vet clinic also comes a whole host of new tools you can use on the pet. This includes a new diagnostic panel, as well as tools such as a stethoscope, X-ray machine, Ultrasound machine, and a microscope. You can use these tools to help find out what’s wrong with any sickly shelter animals and help them get better so they can be adopted.

Many Health Problems to Discover

The vet provides many more details to the health problems of the shelter pets. Anything from Kennel Cough to a broken leg could be the cause of your pups problems, and you’ll need all the diagnostic tools at your disposal to help find out what’s wrong.

Infectious Diseases are Spreadable

In real life animal shelter situations, dogs can get communicable diseases. Shelters sometimes have to be closed completely while devastating diseases sweep through the shelter. Pets can get sick and spread disease in the game now too, and it’s your mission as a veterinarian to help stop it.

Graphics

The graphics and sound on this game are relatively good, and in keeping with the original base game. Cats and dogs are all realistic, and the horses if you have them from the horse DLC are especially good. All of these animals can be treated in the vet clinic.

The sounds are also fairly good. Animals make sounds, act tired or hungry, or sick, and perform other realistic behaviors while being treated.
