A Total War Saga: TROY

A Total War Saga: TROY is an incredible turn-based strategy game where you fight for control of the kingdom of Troy against hundreds and thousands of soldiers in the Bronze Age. If you enjoy games where carefully planned out strategies are needed to succeed, then you’re going to have a great time with this one.

Now, before I tell you my opinion of the game, let me first go over some of the more notable features that you can expect to come across when you download A Total War Sage: TROY for yourself.

Eight mighty heroes

A Total War Saga: TROY takes place in an ancient age where powerful heroes roamed the lands, and it’s these heroes that you get to take control of and play as when you fight your battles.

King Menelaus, Prince Hector, and the mighty warrior Achilles are just a few of the iconic characters you'll come across with many more to discover. They all have unique features that'll help in turning the tide of battle, so be sure to try a few different ones out to find your favorites.

Massive armies

If you've never played a game like this, let me explain a bit about the armies that you'll be controlling. You'll typically have hundreds and thousands of basic soldiers that you'll be able to control with just a few clicks, but you'll also have a few stronger units that are more specialized for certain tasks. A lot of these stronger units in A Total War Sage: Troy are actually based on mythical creatures from Greek myths and legends, so get ready to see some really cool ones.

Building up your empire

The aim of the game is to take over Troy and build up your empire to be the biggest and best it can be, but this is no easy task. You’ll need to carefully manage your troops and resources in every battle you undertake, and constantly make difficult decisions in the heat of battle. Do you feel ready for this kind of responsibility? If so, then good luck, because you’ll need it. Every battle will be tough, but just know that it’s incredibly rewarding when you do win and it’ll be 100% worth it.

Although this game isn’t as good as Total War: Warhammer II, it still has a lot of excellent features that make it stand out in its own right. The environments and characters are all historically accurate, which any history buffs will definitely appreciate, and the gameplay is just so fun and engaging.

Cons:

• Battles can take quite a long time to complete
• Unit diversity is lacking
• The game is quite unbalanced, making certain fights more difficult than they should be
