Ultimate League Soccer

Published by American Video Entertainment and developed by C&E INC., this side-scrolling sports game was released in 1991.

The two players can play one match between any of the 8 teams: France, England, United States, Argentina, Italy, Brazil, Australia or Germany. Every national team has got its own characteristics like offensive, defense, speed, skill, accuracy and also experience traits. Or also one player may choose one of the two championships.

When the team is selected, the players are allowed to choose the color of their team's uniform (white, green, gray or red). They are also prompted to choose the duration of the periods: 15, 30 or 45 minutes. Time in the game runs faster than in reality; and may choose their team formation: 4-3-3, 4-2-4 or 4-4-2.

The game is played from a side-scrolling perspective. Short passes or strong kicks can be made, players can try to steal the ball or else skip to the next player. The goalkeeper is controlled manually. A penalty kick contest is the decide for tied matches. In addition, players can watch single computer vs. computer matches.
