How can you see a title like Tokitome Man’s Lifespan ~Unmatched Man Who Stops Time~ and not at the very least be intrigued as to what the heck it is? This is a lewd adventure game and as I love boobs and anything with a sci-fi time gimmick, I had a feeling that this would be a very fun game and something that would click with me right from the start. It may not have the best translation, but what is here works, and I found myself pretty impressed by this.

I got a massive kick out of the premise of the story that Tokitome Man’s Lifespan ~Unmatched Man Who Stops Time~ is telling. We play as a young guy who loves to masturbate, but this has angered the God of Death! Apparently, we were “wasting” our sperm by just letting it die due to all the jerking off that we were doing. As a “punishment” and to hopefully teach us a lesson. The God of Death is giving us the ability to pause time! How is this a punishment, you ask? Well, turns out that this new power of ours comes with a twist.

Putting A Hold On Time!

You see, the twist in Tokitome Man’s Lifespan ~Unmatched Man Who Stops Time~ is pretty awesome, as we can use our time stopping power to manipulate a situation that we are in. We can use this to benefit our love life or even our professional life. However, each time we stop time, our life meter goes down! That means we have to be smart about when we use it, and if we can manage to create meaningful relationships with those around us, this curse/gift or whatever you want to call it, may be lifted. The translation here is honestly not the best, but I was more than able to follow along, and I thought that this was such a unique idea for a story in a lewd game. It may sound strange, but in a small way, the social sim aspect of the game reminded me of the Persona games series.

The Development Of Pleasure

I would say that a lewd adventure game is the best way to think about the gameplay of Tokitome Man’s Lifespan ~Unmatched Man Who Stops Time~. When we stop time, we can of course get up to no good, but each time you do, your life meter drains a tad. You can stop time so that you can complete various tasks and say the right thing. You have a pleasure meter that is basically how turned on characters are getting. You also have a development meter, which is how you are progressing in your various social and relationship situations. There is a cool-down meter on the time-stopping gimmick. When this is “on,” you need to try and chat with people and curry their favor by doing right by them. I know that it sounds complicated, but it honestly works pretty well, and I found myself engaged by the whole thing.

A Zany Throwback To The 90s!

I am a massive fan of the way that Tokitome Man’s Lifespan ~Unmatched Man Who Stops Time~ looks. Granted, the whole silhouette thing that our main character has is not the most appealing, but the rather cool and jaggy 90s Nickelodeon look that the game has is something I thought was awesome. The game has some fun, lewd scenes that you will unlock as the relationships with certain characters start to grow. In all, I was very happy with the presentation, but I am very much a 90s kid. While I see 90s Nicktoons such as Ren & Stimpy and Rocko’s Modern Life, I do wonder if some will think that it has a more Microsoft Paint look about it!

• The translation can make some aspects a bit tricky at the moment
