The Womb’s Throes

As someone who loves horror and lewd games, The Womb’s Throes was something that clicked with me right from the start. While the whole tentacle thing may not be something I am always into! I had a fantastic time with this lewd adventure game and found it to be a pretty horrific time with a dark and messed-up story that did not shy away from making the player see some pretty hardcore stuff. Also, the game had a story that I actually felt was very interesting and part of.

The Worst Place To Wake Up

Sure, the whole waking up in a horrific place trope has been done to death, but I am giving The Womb’s Throes a pass for this, as it does it so well. We play the role of a cute and brave young woman who finds herself in a facility where some horrible experiments were done on women. From making them pregnant by horrible monsters to then making them give birth, and then just discarding the woman like he is trash! We need to find our way out of this place before the things that are lurking around in the dark manage to get their slimy tentacles on us!

An Interesting Way To Flesh Things Out

One of the things that really stood out to me with The Womb’s Throes was the way that the story was fleshed out and the way that the game let us, the player, know about the past of this facility. We come across these journals/research notes that inform us of the horrible events that happened here. This lets us know some of the characters that used to be in this place, all the while, letting us know just how bad this situation we are in ourselves is! While I thought that this was fantastic and it certainly worked for me. I can see some people being disappointed that a great deal of the story stuff in the game is not about the character we are actually playing as.

It’s Dangerous To Go Alone

As The Womb’s Throes is made with RPG Maker, the gameplay has a real familiarity about it, but I do not mean that in a negative way! The game has you with a light and a less-than-powerful blade. In many ways, it reminds me of a much simpler and XXX version of something like The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. You need to explore this facility, find items, and find research notes. There are bosses to battle, but honestly, nothing in this game is going to cause you too many problems as you play it. The game is probably around an hour or so long, and it is a fairly straightforward lewd adventure game. There is not much in the way of replay value here at all. However, it does make for something quick and easy that you can play in between games that are much larger and more time-consuming.

Taking It To The Extreme

While the main character that we play as in The Womb’s Throes is a hottie. I would not say that anything here is sexy, as it is mostly characters getting ravaged by tentacle monsters! Hey, if you find that hot, you are in for a treat here. I can certainly appreciate how well done this all is, and that it is pretty extreme and horrifying stuff that we are seeing here. While there is more of the XXX and horror content without our main heroine than with, as I said, I think that this was a pretty novel idea. The art in those scenes is fantastic and very well done, so if you are into graphic horror, you will get a huge kick out of this. The actual game does have your standard RPG Maker look about it, but I do not consider that to be a bad thing at all.

Pros:

• The gory horror vibes in this game were awesome
• I found the story to be interesting
• The way the game progresses things via the research-style notes is clever
• It feels like the perfect length for what it is

Cons:

• The horror and violence may be a tad too much for some
• There is not much in the way of challenge in the game
