The Wandering Corinne

I am a real sucker for 2D porn games and that is why The Wandering Corinn came to my attention. This is a game that has some truly fantastic art, and the heroine is a crazy thick babe. Add to this what looked like fun, 2D beat-em-up style gameplay, and you had all the makings of a game that felt perfect for me. Now, this game has a, let's just say, mixed reception, but I think that much of the hate it gets is a bit harsh. Yes, this is a simple kind of beat-em-up, but I still had fun with it, plus at around an hour, it did not overstay its welcome.

Saving The Enslaved

To say that The Wandering Corinne is a little light in the story department is being generous. The story is that we are a wandering warrior, and we are trying to save the enslaved people of the land. That is pretty much it. When you click on a stage, you may get a little bit of text telling you what the deal is in that particular area. It is a real shame, too. The boss designs and the monster designs of this world are really cool, meaning it would have been pretty cool to have seen these interesting characters fleshed out and given more unique personalities.

A Rooting Tooting Good Time

As far as being a side-scrolling beat-em-up goes, The Wandering Corinne plays it pretty safe and simple. You pretty much walk from left to right, fighting enemies as you go. You can get 9 (I think it was 9) skills that will let you do more things such as farting to boost through the air, sure I may sound like I am 5, but I found that freaking hilarious to see this big thick chick ripping ass and flying through the air. The controls are a bit on the clunky side, and I found myself getting overwhelmed. Sometimes it was like she would duck when I wanted her to walk. It is not bad, and there is fun to be had here. Speaking of fun, the boss battles had a lot of charm to them. However, it just feels like the game needed a bit of tightening up to make it something extra special.

She Is Jacked!

The best thing that this game has going on is the visuals. I am a massive fan of the over-the-top design of our heroine. The Wandering Corinne goes for a really fun and bright art style, and I love the way that she is wearing armor, but it is also a thong. I got such a kick out of that. I already touched on this, but the enemy/monster designs are really well done, and these randy little critters will have their way with her during the erotic scenes. In all, this is a game that I feel will keep its players by looking so great, the fantastic and in some cases, hilarious visuals do kind of make you forget about the shortcomings of the game.

Willing To Fail!

Like many other 2D action games, The Wandering Corinne will give you a lewd scene if you fall in battle. I do not really have a problem with this, but I did feel like I was seeing the same lewd scenes over and over again. Also, and I assure you, this is a true story. I was playing this game and it was later in the evening and my wife comes in to bring me a cup of tea, just as I hit what is the most epic game over screen ever and that is our big thick heroine completely naked with her giant boobs and ripped abs hanging out. My wife looked at the screen, looked at me, and then just burst out laughing! I am telling you, this is a game that just has a hilarious and charming look to it!

Pros:

• Our main lady takes thickness to a whole new level
• Some of the skills are fun such as farting to leap through the air!
• I got a kick out of the bright visuals
• There are some very cool character designs here

Cons:

• The gameplay has a very clunky and awkward feel about it
• Those cool character designs would be even better if they had some personality
