The Divine Speaker

Wow, just wow is all I have to say about The Divine Speaker! This is probably the best gay lewd visual novel that I have ever had the pleasure to play. I am legit wondering how I can do this game justice with my words. I had been following this for a while before it was released and it turned out that when it did come out, I was way too busy to dedicate some serious time to it. However, a little vacation time later and I completely fell in love with this game and had such a great time with it, I went straight back in for a second playthrough.

Your Chosen Path

The Divine Speaker has a fantasy type setting to it and it is one of the best that I have played in. The setting of the game is a city called, Aurelia Cavella. In this city, people at birth have their entire fates chosen for them by an entity called the divine speaker. Our main character in the game is a nice guy called, Raen who was ditched by his parents at birth as they did not like the path that had been given to him. He spends the next 18 years in an orphanage, but he has a good and happy life….

A Whole New World

Something happens and Raen is accused of a crime and he is banished and sent out into the wild. Now the twist here is that this city lets its citizens believe that there is no other life or anything outside of their city, just danger! However, Raen soon learns that not all is as it seems in this world and there is more to it than he ever dreamed. He also comes across numerous love interests that will also help shape him and change his view of the world too. It is just so well written that it is impossible not to get pulled into this exciting and interesting world.

Forging Your Own Path!

What I think truly makes The Divine Speaker such a great experience is the characters. Raen is a fantastic MC and he is written so well and has way more depth than most lewd visual novels. There are three main characters/ love interests and they are all likable in their own way. Leos, is an assassin, Fawn is a boy from the forest and Cyne is a noble who is a bit on the eccentric side. There are other side characters too and you get to make different choices as you decide which one of these fine young men is the one that you want to focus on. This is a game where your choices do feel like they matter and the game gives you plenty of reason to play through it.

Anime Boys Are Doing It For Themselves

The art in The Divine Speaker is some of the best that I have ever seen in a gay lewd visual novel. I cannot speak highly enough of the art in this game, it is all cute anime boys and they are just so incredibly expressive and cute that it is impossible not to get into them. The game has a very cinematic kind of flair to it, even without fully animated scenes. Well, it does have voice acting which floored me not just because it was here, but because of how high quality the voice acting was. The game is like an anime that you are part of and it is impossible not to get invested in things.

Pros:

• The main character is very likable and interesting
• The trio of love interesting are all entertaining and cute in their own way
• This game has some of the best lewd art you will ever see
• The voice acting is fantastic and gets the story over even more

Cons:

• You do have to have a thing for gay characters and storylines
• I wish that there was more animation
