The Adventures of MICOCO

Perhaps the best compliment I can give The Adventures of MICOCO is that while I am not usually into the whole “tenacles” thing that hentai seems to love, this game has managed to get me interested. This as you have probably guessed is a lewd RPG that has a really classic JRPG style to it and that I think is something that is cool. I know that this style of lewd game is not in short display these days, but I think that there is enough here to make it interesting and stand out from all the other similar style lewd games that are out there at the moment.

The Adventurer Micoco

The main character in The Adventures of MICOCO is called, Micoco. This brings me to something that bothers me. Why is her name in all caps in the title, but in the game, it is just normal? Anyway, she is an adventurer and she has been tasked with a pretty dangerous mission by a village leader. He wants Micoco to save the settlement by destroying all these monsters that have invaded it.

More Than Meets The Eye

That is not just a Transformers reference by the way! There is more to the story than you would think and while The Adventures of MICOCO is going to start off feeling rather formulaic. They try and keep the story interesting by having Micoco discovering something rather strange and trying to get to the bottom of why these evil creatures are trying to invade. I think if they get the tone just right, the story here could be something that is rather interesting.

A Tale As Old As Time!

Now, the gameplay that makes up The Adventures of MICOCO is perhaps the one area of the game that may not grab the masses. This seems like it is playing it very safe as far as the lewd JRPG genre goes. It takes place from a top-down perspective as you would expect. The combat system has a bit of a basic style to it, but I think that is done on purpose. To me, this is the kind of JRPG that is aimed at everyone, not just those who are JRPG veterans with hundreds of hours of JRPG gameplay under their belt.

Tentacles, But Not From My Boy Squidward!

I have said many times that the whole tentacles thing has never been something that appealed to me. I get that these are a huge part of the world of hentai and for those that are into it, more power to you. The Adventures of MICOCO has dungeon style areas that are full of tentacles that want to have their way with you.

To be honest, I think the lewd stuff here is done very well and the quality of art was something that made me like this way more than I thought I would. I am sure for you guys that are into this thing, you will really appreciate what they have done here as far as the art goes. The top-down gameplay sections of the game I feel are a bit on the basic side, but I do like it.

Pros:

• I liked the idea of playing as this feisty adventurer
• Micoco is a cool character
• The tentacles XXX stuff going on here is very well done
• I liked how the gameplay was easy to get into and pretty basic

Cons:

• That basic gameplay I liked, maybe too simple for some people
• At the end of the day, tentacles are mostly what you will see as far as the lewd content goes
