Super Idol

Having recently just played through Super Idol, I wanted to get my thoughts about it down while they were fresh. This is a fantastic lewd story driven game that takes place in the music industry in China. I came to the game for those gorgeous looking hand drawn graphics, but it was the story and the interesting characters that kept in invested in what was going on here. This game was so much fun, that I do intend to do multiple playthroughs as there are a few different ways that the story can go.

Doing It For My Sister

The start of Super Idol is kind of dark. Our main characters are the brother and sister duo of Mark and Luna Davis. They lost their parents in a tragic accident and now it is down to Mark to try and take care of Luna and help her realize her dreams of becoming a music superstar. This leads Mark to becoming a music producer and we basically follow the story of him and Luna as they progress through the music industry. This is such a great premise for a lewd game and one that clicked with me right away.

Power Can Corrupt!

There are a few different ways that the story of Super Idol can go. Mark can just try and be a good brother and dedicate his time to making sure that Luna becomes the star she wants to be, all the while ensuring she is happy and looked after. Or, he can really indulge and end up in an incestuous relationship with her. Not only that, he has backing singers, a music producer, and another potential pop starlet who all want his attention too. Will he use his influence to take what he wants from these ladies? Well, that is ultimately down to you to decide.

How Long To Become A Star?

While there is certainly your standard lewd visual novel stuff going on here in Super Idol, we also have RPG elements too. From picking the right songs, deciding what characters need to be working on, and making sure that our record company is turning a profit. The game takes place over the course of three years and each year has a selection of stages that you need to complete in order to move the story along. There are bad endings here, so even if you screw up, you will get some kind of conclusion, granted, perhaps not the one you would like, but that just gives you the motivation to play through the game again to try and get a different ending.

She Will Be A Star

The quality of the art in Super Idol cannot be ignored! This is just a fantastic looking game in every regard. I am usually a bit creeped out by incest stuff in games, but I just got so into the amazing visuals that this game had I was able to get past it for the most part…. Until some of the dialogue made it weird! Still, as well as your hot sister, there are other attractive ladies that we get to try and hook up with! I liked the bright and vibrant style of the game too, the different icons you can click on are all easily identified and it is just a great-looking game in pretty much every regard.

Pros:

• I liked how the game took place in the music industry
• We have an awesome selection of hot ladies!
• The gameplay offers more depth and challenge than you may think
• It looks fantastic in pretty much every regard

Cons:

• The incestuous relationship is weird
• Some of the translation could be a bit better
