I have no clue when volume 2 is out, but with how much I enjoyed LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 I will certainly be a player on it when it does. At its core, you would have to describe this game as a visual novel. However, I feel that it offers far more in terms of gameplay than many other lewd visual novels do. Add to this a fantastic art style and a great sense of humor and you have a game that is a ton of fun to play and well worth your time checking out.

Forget American Idol & The X-Factor!

The whole premise of the game is a great deal of fun and I love how the story is not taking itself too seriously. Our main character in LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 is called, Kairi and she has her eyes set on stardom. She ends up in Akihabara and things do not go as she hoped. Down on her luck and in desperate need of money, a rather pervy chick convinces her to try and become the ultimate lewd idol!

Where Them Girls At?

The first thing that caught my eye about this game apart from the very long title was the visuals. This is a great looking game and it is all about girl-on-girl action. The way the character models look is very appealing and they have that anime look that many of us like in a lewd visual novel. LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 does not have the largest selection of characters, but I think that works to its advantage and is part of the reason they look so unique and well detailed. The lewd stuff here is all girl based and that is pretty damn awesome!

Relationships Or Choices

As you progress through the game and the story unfolds, you will be presented with various choices that you can make. What is interesting about this is that as far as I can tell there are no different paths for the story to take in this game. Instead, your choices will alter the relationships that you have with people. I thought this was a pretty neat idea and it made me pay close attention to the story and think about the choices I was making. The relationship meter in the game was something that I took pretty seriously the more I got into the game.

More Than Just Words

Usually, that is it for gameplay in a lewd visual novel, but LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 has more to keep you entertained. It has these awesome and fun mini-games that are based around Gacha machines and UFO grab machines where you can win various little prizes. I found it very addictive trying to get the whole collection of collectibles that the game had to offer.

I had a great time with LIP! Lewd Idol Project Vol. 1 and I cannot wait for the next chapter to be released. I thought it told a charming and funny story and by the end of it, I did grow to care about the characters. It looks like a million bucks too and the girl-on-girl nature of the story and lewd art was something that I found very appealing. Add to this those mini-games and their collectibles and you have a lewd visual novel that is very addictive and very enjoyable to play through.
