When SUPER 56 was first published in hell, it was quickly banned. All copies of the game were taken off the market by the Government of Pain and buried in the desert. It seemed like that would be the end of SUPER 56 for a while—until it started showing up again in local markets.

Kronos and Brones, the main characters of the game, were able to get a copy of the game, and have challenged their obnoxious neighbor to a duel over it. The stakes are high, but there’s just one problem. Kronos and Brones are terrible gamers.

That’s where the player comes in. They need to help the duo win by playing 56 short mini games that use just one button to keep the game going.

Hilarious Side Jokes

Although playing a huge selection of games may just sound like another Mario Party, it’s not. The game is filled to the brim with hilarious references to other games, important people around the world, and irreverent topics. One minute you might be a ball boy picking up balls for a baseball game, the next you’re shooting arrows into a naked man’s butt. There are also dozens of nods to various games and famous figures, from Sonic the Hedgehog to Japanese Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga’s famous sign holding. (He holds up a Reiwa kanji, but in the game it is a letter A symbol.) The game is packed with these homages and hilarious side jokes.

Worldwide Leaderboards

Helping Kronos and Brones achieve an S Rank in all 56 games isn’t the only challenge the game offers. On top of this you will also be given a chance to see how you stack up against players across the world—all of them. This provides a whole new aspect to the game, since beating someone’s record is an amazing challenge in itself. The game also provides Daily Challenges to keep the replay value on this game constant.

Tons of Unlockable Content

At its heart, SUPER 56 understands that replayability is important to the value of a game. The game already has endless replay value with the leaderboards and daily challenges, but they really step it up with unlockable content.

Players can unlock new characters, voice packs, ludicrous phases, and more through meeting achievements in the game. Of particular interest is the unlockable Mod Stones, which allow you to change the rules of a playthrough.

Changing the rules shifts the game in a new way and makes the game interesting again. If that’s not enough, the developer, Onion Soup Interactive, has added a lavish amount of achievements to try and win. You’ll never be without something to do in this game, no matter how many times you play it through.

This game is perfect for what it is. Play your way through the history of gaming, from the earliest games all the way to the latest mobile games. There’s always something to do in the game, whether you want to become the best at the game in the whole world, or simply unlock every achievement.
