Saving Paula

Wow, Saving Paula is a lewd visual novel game that I thought looked pretty cool, but it ended up being something pretty damn incredible. I do have to tell you that as of me writing this review, the game is still being worked on so I will admit that there is not exactly a ton of content in the game just yet. However, what is here is awesome and I can 100 percent say that this is going to be a game that I come back to each time there is some kind of update done to it.

What A Dick!

The whole premise of the story is that we have this very attractive milf character called Paula. As the game is called, Saving Paula, you pretty much have an idea of what to expect, but what are we saving her from? She had a great life as an actress where she met, fell in love, and married a guy literally called Dick! Fast forward 20 years and he leaves her alone with her kids and her life is in tatters.

Getting Her In Shape

The whole point of the game is that MC (her son) lives with her and his sister as well as a bit of interference from her gilf mom herself. The son is trying to get her in shape and help her have a better life, but in the process of this, there starts to build a rather taboo connection which you would expect the moment you start playing Saving Paula. To be honest, so far the story is really well written and while you do have a fairly good idea of the way things are going to go, what is here is done so well that it keeps you invested and wanting to know what is going down.

The Directors Cut

The whole presentation of the game is perhaps what got me hooked the most. Saving Paula is made by a developer that has a real cinematic flair to them. From the way scenes transition to another, the way the facial expression changes, and even the more dynamic camera angles. It all adds up to make it a much more cinematic kind of experience. While there has not been a ton of lewd content so far, what is here is done really well and I am loving the way Paula looks, I just wish that they made her mum a little older looking, but that is really me just nitpicking.

Playing With My Mind

The gameplay of Saving Paula is right around what you would expect for a lewd visual novel. I do not mean that in a negative way, the choices you make feel like they matter, and little things such as being able to skip forward just make the overall gameplay experience so much better and smoother. Even in the rather early state that I played the game in, what is here is very well made and has a high level of polish to it that impressed the hell out of me.

Pros:

• The game is just a whole lot of fun to play
• I liked Paula
• The visuals in the game are fantastic
• I love how the game has this “cinematic” feel to it

Cons:

• As of writing the game is still far from being finished
• Paula’s mom should look more like a gilf
