Ride Me, Taxi Driver

Over the last year, not many lewd games have had me as excited as Ride Me, Taxi Driver did. I followed this one for a little while before diving in, and I will admit, it was the fantastic visuals that I was seeing in the promotion for the game that won me over, as this game looked fantastic. This is not just another lewd visual novel; there is some actual gameplay here, and I also think that the game has a decent enough premise to keep you interested. I just think that with a little more work, this could have gone from being good to being something truly great.

Getting Paid And Getting Laid

Forget games like Crazy Taxi and The Simpsons Road Rage, Ride Me, Taxi Driver is the ultimate taxi driver game, although there may be a cheat code that lets you rail Marge in The Simpsons, I am not sure. Anyway, we play the role of a taxi driver, and our job is to drive these hot chicks to where they need to go. The thing is, we are super horny and we try to play things cool and just right so that we can pull over or head to a more discreet location and have sex with these chicks. Hey, this guy is living the dream, you just know he is also charging them for the sex too!

One Fair To The Next

I will admit, I thought for sure that I was in for some kind of lewd visual novel as far as the gameplay of Ride Me, Taxi Driver went, however, that was not the case at all. The game has you playing this, what I think is best described as a rhythm based game where you have to press the buttons at the right time. You do this enough time and you will get to progress and then of course, unlock one of the sex scenes from the three different ladies that are sitting in your cab. To be honest, as a premise, I think that this is a pretty solid idea, but there is a pretty big flaw that I feel has to be addressed.

Ringing Up Her Fare

Taxi drivers trying to go slower or taking a long way round to charge a higher fare is something that is not all that uncommon. However, the grinding to progress in Ride Me, Taxi Driver takes things a bit too far. The gameplay could be fun and it all works well enough, but the progression is just so slow, it takes forever to move things along and the mini-game never got any more challenging the longer I played the game. This ended up making it rather tedious and I must admit, I started to get frustrated and wonder if I should just turn it off and call it a day as the game never offered me anything new as far as the gameplay went, but there was one thing that kept me going.

Anime Girls In My Cab

The visuals are by far the best thing that Ride Me, Taxi Driver has going on. The game starts with this blockbuster intro that is the highlight of the whole thing if I am being honest, but it certainly hypes you up to play the game. The three anime looking ladies are all very easy on the eye and I liked how the game offered different camera view as you progressed. The thing is, I was holding on for something epic and the fact of the matter is, like the gameplay, it never gets any better than it does right at the start of the game. This I will have to say, kind of left me feeling a bit deflated as I got to the end of this thing. Hey it looks good, but the game never reaches the wow factor of the start again.

Pros:

• I thought that all of the girls were hot
• The sex scenes in the game were a lot of fun
• It is not all that difficult

Cons:

• The progression in this game is painfully slow
• The gameplay is too easy and it becomes boring
