Records from Censura

Records from Censura was one of those games that I was waiting for the right time to play. The premise of the story and the art style clicked with me as soon as I saw it. It made me want to really dedicate some time to this game so that I could take it all in and have a great time doing so. Well, turns out that this game is still being worked on, and as a result, I managed to get through this in around 90 minutes. Still, what is here is pretty impressive and makes me very excited for the next update that the developer drops.

No More Porn!

Of course, I love lewd games, but there was something about the premise of Records from Censura that really appealed to me. Basically, the game takes place in a very authoritative kind of world where the government has banned pornography, and they have decided that sex is something that should be regulated and not just talked about or flaunted out in the open. Many people just go along with what the government is telling them to do, but we are not like everyone else, and we are going to rise up and let the people of our city know that they have been missing out big time!

Porn For The People

We play as a character that we create, and then the story of Records from Censura gets going. Basically, we decided that we are going to start making porn, and we will then distribute it through the city to show people what they have been missing out on. As of me writing this, the story never really goes beyond what I just said. There is one story mission where you need to help a friend break out of jail, but that is all there really is right now. I am very interested to see where this goes, as my mind was racing while I was playing the game with the potential ways that this story could go.

Shooting And Sneaking

As I said in the intro, Records from Censura is not yet complete, well, as I am writing this, it is not, but by the time you read this, it very well could be. At the moment, there is just that one story mission, it has you using stealth to sneak your friend out of jail. Outside of this, you are exploring the city, trying to find new lewd poses. Once you find these, you can then shoot the porn and distribute it. You find all of the locations you can do that, and that is pretty much the game. While there may not be a great deal here, what is here is fun; I just need more of it. There are a few systems in place here, like money and upgrades, but as of writing, this is quite shallow, so it will be interesting to see how this is fleshed out as the game is further developed.

Banging In The City

The whole vibe and style that Records from Censura has going on clicked with me right from the start. It almost has a cell-shaded meets The Sims or even The Urbz: Sims in the City kind of look about it. The game has a somewhat low-poly, original PlayStation style, which I think is very cool. The XXX content is all done with the in-game visuals, and that just adds to the overall charm that this game has going on. One thing that is very neat about the presentation is the character creation stuff. Not just because you can create your character, but you can tweak them and even fully change them as you are in the game; you are not just stuck with the way that they look at the start of the game. This is a pretty unique feature and something that I thought was very cool.

Pros:

• I loved the premise of the story here
• Shooting the porn was fun
• I liked how it had a stealth section
• This has a ton of potential

Cons:

• As of writing, the game has a few bugs and technical issues
• There was not much content in the build that I played
