Nurtale Nesche

NurTale Nesche is a lewd 2D game that has some great visuals, a cool concept for a story, and, perhaps most importantly of all, it is actually fun to play. I have played the first few releases of this, and I think that the developer has the game to a point where it is very easy for me to recommend to people looking for some lewd 2D pixel art action. Just be warned, this is a pretty challenging game, but that is something I liked about it, as while it is challenging, it never truly felt unfair.

Escape The Dungeon!

While there is not a ton of story or cut scenes in NurTale Nesche, I think that they have given us a pretty solid premise for the story. Our main character is a young woman called Nesche, and she has been captured by these monsters that are referred to in the game as evils. They basically have her for their own sexual needs, and she is sick of it and wants to escape, as she knows that once they are done with her…. Well, let's just say she is not going to be getting out of this situation.

Sneaking To The End

Thankfully, the gameplay of NurTale Nesche is pretty solid, and the controls are tight and responsive. The game has you starting a run and needing to find your way out of the dungeon. This is easier said than done, as the dungeon is a bit of a maze, although you do have a mini map to help guide you. The evil monsters that are stalking the dungeon will come after you if they see or hear you. If this happens, you have to start over again! On paper, this does not sound like the most exciting game out there, but there was something about it that just kept me wanting to play.

The Easy Way or the Hard Way?

One of the ways that NurTale Nesche keeps the gameplay a bit more random is with the items. You can pick up various items that will help you as you try and escape the dungeon and those pesky hands (and other things) of the evil creatures. However, the game will throw a curveball your way in the form of cursed items! For example, you can get some shackles that slow you down and make it so you cannot run! You can get a blindfold, which takes away your ability to see the mini map! Getting a cursed item really does ramp up the difficulty. To be fair, I can see why, for some, this would be frustrating, but I found that it helped add to the excitement of the game.

I See Why They Keep Her!

Going for a pixel art style may not make NurTale Nesche stand out from the crowd, but I still love what they have done with the visuals. This lewd pixey art has a ton of charm, and I found Nesche to be a very easy on the eyes character, especially when she is all naked and chained up in the dungeon! The evil monsters have some pretty interesting designs, and as you have probably already figured out. When she is captured as you are trying to make your escape, these monsters put her in her place, and that is how you get to see the XXX scenes, which are a lot of fun.

Pros:

• I liked our main character
• The gameplay was challenging in a good way
• I thought the cursed items added an extra layer of challenge
• The 2D pixel art is very well done, and Nesche is hot!

Cons:

• Some may find it a tad on the frustrating side
• I would have liked the story to be fleshed out a little more
