As a fan of the anime, Naruto Trainer caught my attention pretty much right away. I understand that we have about a million lewd parodies of this series, but with so many interesting and cute characters, it is just ripe for the picking when it comes to the lewd parody treatment. As I write this, the game is still fairly early in development, I played it right at the end of 2023 and it is my understanding that a fairly substantial update is coming in early 2024. By the time you read this, the game will hopefully have a bit more content.

They Attacked Our Village

The backdrop for Naruto Trainer is that a small village was attacked by this devastating lethal force. The village will struggle to recover and they are as you would expect, worried about more attacks coming. That is where our main character comes into play! In order to make sure that he can protect the village from future attacks, he is sent to the Hidden Leaf Village where he can continue his ninja training and fulfill his potential.

Living Up To His Potential!

Turns out that while Naruto Trainer is going to have our MC training to become a better ninja, there are many cuties also here that we are going to get distracted by. One of the things that I feel this does really well as a parody of Naruto is taking characters we know and making them recognizable, all be it with a lewd twist. Rather than just using all Naruto characters, they have also put some original characters in here too which I feel helps it stand on its own and out of the shadow of the million other Naruto lewd parodies.

Hey Good Looking!

Many of the other Naruto lewd games will go for the same kind of 2D anime art style as the show and that is great. Naruto Trainer is doing things a bit differently. Do not get me wrong, it still has that anime style, but the characters here have a bit more of a 3D look to them if that makes sense. There is not a ton of content in the build that I played, but these ladies are very easy on the eyes and I am really liking the direction the game is going as far as the art goes. It undoubtedly is Naruto, but at the same time, it is trying to put its own stamp on it.

Like Reading An Ancient Scroll

The version of Naruto Trainer I played is far from complete, it is more like a demo if I am being brutally honest, but it does give you an idea of where the game is going as far as the gameplay. We have a lewd visual novel here, what I like about it is that the story is very well written and it makes you get invested in what is going down and really think about things as you move the story forward. I hope that they keep this more of a lewd visual novel and do not get tempted to add unnecessary sandbox elements as the story is the star here.

While I was only able to play the small amount of game that was made at the time I played this, Naruto Trainer still impressed me. I am a fan of this anime and have played many lewd parodies, some good and some bad. So far, this one here is laying far more on the “good” side and I am interested to see where this story is going to go. As the game is so early in development, it is not fair for me to give it a score just yet, but if it keeps going the way it is, I could see this easily being an 8 or 9 out of 10 game.
