MINDS BENEATH US is a text adventure game in a science fiction setting. The action takes place in future Japan (the fictional city of Taipei), where players take on the role of the protagonist, who finds himself involved in a complex conspiracy involving experiments on human consciousness. Artificial intelligence, which was developed to help people, now uses people as an endless resource for its needs. People are implanted in the brain chips that make people slaves to machines, especially actively implementing this practice among the poor.
