I was in the mood for a lewd visual novel when MEMORY LEAK was recommended to me by a buddy. If you get a kick out of gay furry characters, you are going to have a lot of fun here.

A Hacker's Worst Nightmare

I think that the overall story here is just really cool. The idea is that we play the role of a rather low-rung hacker, and we end up with this computer virus that basically takes over our lives. Before we know it, we are thrust into the gay underworld where things are not what they seem. Ok, let's state the obvious here. In order to get the best out of this game, you do need to get a kick out of gay furry characters, but if you do, you will have fun here.

Taking The Long Way Round

While I would say that, for the most part, MEMORY LEAK is a lewd visual novel, it does have a few extra things sprinkled on top to try and flesh out the gameplay. The thing is, this is a very slow-paced game. No so much the story, but the speed at which the text appears, the speed at which things fade in and out from one scene to the next. The whole game is just very slow-paced, and I can see this being something that causes more than a few people to lose interest.

The Furry Gay Bar

Much like the story, to appreciate the visuals of the game, you need to at the very least be interested in furry characters. The game has some fun XXX scenes, but there is nudity even when there is no banging going down. There are some great-looking furry characters here, and I liked the club like setting too. I think for some people, this is going to end up being a game that really does click with them. At the very least, it is very easy to appreciate what the developer has managed to do here.

Pros:

• The gay furry characters are very well designed
• I liked how my choices felt like they mattered

Cons:

• The pace of this game can be painfully slow
• What the heck is that high-pitched sound at the start of the game???

MEMORY LEAK is an erotic visual novel about hackers attacking each other. Travel to a pixelated two-dimensional world to show a virus where it belongs. However, even a two-dimensional avatar can be threatened by a virus. Face difficult choices and meet the consequences. Your choices must be deliberate and consistent, or risk being trapped forever inside a virtual space while your real body is shamelessly used by an unknown hacker.
