Mad Turn

Today, we are checking out Mad Turn, a lewd visual novel (with a few extra steps) that has two protagonists and tells the story of a husband and a very hot wife falling apart and then having to come back together. I have to say, this grew on me the more that I played it and from what I understand, more chapters are coming, but as of writing, this does feel pretty contained and I found myself entertained enough to keep on playing as it was one of those stories where I wanted to know what would happen next.

Easy To See The Cracks!

Our main character in Mad Turn, actually, it is main character”s” as we have Matt and his wife Patty, so there are two main points of view in the story. You can tell pretty early on that Matt is way more into Patty than she is into him. It is almost like she can’t stand him in some of the early scenes. Anyway, you can tell that these two are heading for splitville very early on in the game, which, of course, they do. Leading to them having to have separate lives. Matt is trying to hook up with other girls, and Patty has fallen for a rich, but straight up older, jerk of a guy.

Why Does He Care?

No spoilers, and while Mad Turn does throw several very nice ladies in Matt’s path, you can tell that he clearly still has a thing for Patty. Well, Patty ends up in a bit of trouble, and even though she is his ex-wife, Matt somehow turns into a cop/detective and tries to help her out. There are some great character interactions in this game, and as far as the main story goes, that is the highlight for me. I liked how there were other ladies in Matt’s life and how some of them were pretty well developed as characters, too. It is a bit of a slow burn kind of story, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.

Hanging Out And Clicking Around

It is probably best to describe Mad Turn as a lewd visual novel, as most of the gameplay is clicking around the screen at the right time. It is pretty easy to play through the game, and I never really felt like there was much of a challenge in regards to deciding what to do. To be honest, the basic adult visual novel gameplay made it a rather laid-back game, well apart from the drama in the story, of course, to actually play through. If you want something more interactive, this is probably not going to be for you, but if you like to get lost in a good story, you are exactly the kind of person that this game is aimed at.

Go Matt Go!

They have gone for a more realistic kind of style when it comes to the presentation of Mad Turn. There are some fantastic looking characters, and I would actually say that Patty, the wife, is my favorite as far as design goes. There are some great sex scenes in the game that are made better thanks to the very descriptive writing that the developer has done. However, while there are animated sex scenes in the game, the animation loops are a tad on the short side, and this can lead to some of them seeming a little bit jerky if you get what I'm saying. I honestly think that if the animation were smoother, it would have been enough to make me give the game half a point more.

Pros:

• I liked how Matt had some flaws
• Patty is a hot wife!
• I was pulled in by the story pretty much right away
• There are some very nice looking character models in this game

Cons:

• The story is something that may not click with everyone
• The animated sex scenes could be smoother
