JASON, Coming of Age

Today we are checking out JASON, Coming of Age which is a lewd adventure game where we play as a young man setting out on his own. This is one of those games that the developer has been working on for years! I am pretty sure that as I write this, this game has been in the works for the better part of two years! Still, this is a real passion project and I think you can tell when you play the game that is the case. I had some fun with this one and I will certainly be back when the next update drops.

Starting Out On Your Own

The premise of the story in JASON, Coming of Age is fantastic. We play the role of a guy called Jason who is in his mid-20s. He is moving to a new apartment where he is starting a new job at the local news company where he will be working as some kind of tech guy. He has some good bros, but one of those bros has a sister who has a thing for Jason! Add to this the various ladies in the town and the women he works with and Jason is in for one hell of a wild time! I love the idea of playing this dude who is just loving life and trying to play the field.

Jason Has A Secret!

Man, they really had me with the story here in JASON, Coming of Age as it was grounded in reality, but they had to add a bit of supernatural stuff to it. Basically, there is this gem that can wipe people's memories and once that comes into the story, I honestly think that they lose what made this such a compelling game. There are plenty of ladies in the game and I liked getting to know them, but once this “supernatural” element is introduced, I felt that it took away what was a good “coming of age” style story about a young man finding his way in the world and getting laid a great deal in the process.

Great If You Are A Bush Man

JASON, Coming of Age has gone for a more realistic kind of style when it comes to the character models and I am all for that. The characters are very easy on the eyes and one of the things that I got a huge kick out of was the fact that the guy who made this game is clearly a bush man as there are some ladies in this game that love the au natural look if you get what I am saying. The lewd content here is pretty solid and I was very happy with the rate that it was all dished out. In all, if you love your lewd games to have characters that look more real than anime, you will really dig the art style that the developer has gone for here.

Getting Laid Is The Name Of The Game

I would say that JASON, Coming of Age is a pretty standard lewd sandbox adventure style game. You basically click where you need to go, chat with ladies, pick what options you want, and so on. There is a cell phone, but as I write this, nothing major happens with that, but it does make me think that the developer has some ideas to add something here to the gameplay. It is a pretty straightforward game that takes you where the story needs to go, but you do get to make several what feel like key choices so the game does a good job of making you feel like you are involved in this story.

Pros:

• Jason is a bit of an over the top bro and I liked that
• The coming of age, moving out on your own stuff is good
• I was very impressed by the quality of the character models
• The game was pretty simple to actually play

Cons:

• I do think the story would have been better without the magic stuff
• This game is taking a very, very long time to get completed

JASON, Coming of Age is an erotic visual novel about the beginning of a new chapter in the life of a young man for whom the adult world seems too new and hostile. Jason has successfully spent his teenage years and at 25 is only moving towards success. At least that's what he thought. Except that life outside of his parents' home and college dormitory is proving to be a disappointment. But, trying to remain optimistic, Jason stubbornly looks straight into the eyes of difficulties. Help the young man fulfill his desires in a new chapter of life.

• Your choices shape Jason's character and it affects the paths he will choose in the future
• Animated 3DCG scenes

Jason is a lewd game that is about a dude moving to a new city and starting a new life. It is the kind of thing we have experienced many times before in a lewd game, but this one has something that grabbed me. What is impressive about that is that this game is not finished, actually is pretty damn far from it as it is only going to take you an hour or so to get through this current build of the game. Still, I liked what I played enough that I have been coming back time and time again to see if it has been updated.

Bring Me Pictures Of Spider-Man!

Ok, so that reference there was a real stretch, but I still think it kind of works. The story of Jason is about our main character who as you have guessed is called Jason. He is in his mid-20s and he has just moved to a new place and is about to start a new job working for the local newspaper called The Daily Gazette. It is kind of a slice of life type deal where Jason interacts with three main females and he tries to get to know them better and live this crazy thing we call life.

Ointment For That Slow Burn

Even though there is not a ton of gameplay in Jason in the build that I played. However, I like the way that the story is unfolding. This is not a game where you can play for five minutes and get a sex scene right away. This is very much a slow burn kind of story and if that is not something you usually like, you probably are not going to get sucked in here as the prologue is quite slow and not a great deal happens. If you like world and character building though, you will like this as you can clearly tell that the developer knows where he wants the story to go. If you have played a lewd visual novel style of game before, you will fit right in here, there are different routes and characters for you to experience.

A Sneak Peek!

While there is not a ton of lewd content in Jason, there is still enough to keep you invested when it comes to the game’s visuals. It has a kind of voyeuristic style to it where we get to see these attractive characters in revealing and tight clothing and the camera angles that are used are very clever and tease you. I like the character renders in the game, they all look different. I have played a few lead games recently where the characters all have a kind of samey look to them, but that is not the case here.

Pros:

• I am interested in the story enough to keep checking for new updates
• I like the slice of life style thing they have going on here
• Lexie is a character that I am really liking so far
• There are different routes that you can experience in the story

Cons:

• There is not much content in the current build of the game
• It is not the kind of game where it goes from one sex scene to the next in rapid succession
