Himegashima Island

Let me tell you, I thought that Himegashima Island was absolutely fantastic! This is an adventure game that, with the help of a patch, can become a very XXX adventure game. Perhaps the best compliment that I can give the game is that I think even without the adult patch, this would still have been a very fun game and something that would have been very easy for me to recommend to people. I liked how there was a bit of naiveness and wholesomeness about the game and the world that it is set in.

The Aire To The Throne

The setup for the story in Himegashima Island is that our main character is a young, rather effeminate, if I am being honest, guy called Kokomi. Komoki is part of a very wealthy and influential family that runs things with an iron fist, and Komoki is expected to act in a very certain kind of way. Honestly, it has to be exhausting and just downright brutal to be this guy, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, as he is being sent to the titular island to spend time with family.

Summer of His Life

The island living is something that clicks with Komoki right away as he meets the townspeople and others who are part of his family and familiar with his family. Living this fun and more relaxed kind of island living with these people is something that Komoki really takes to heart, and of course, there are several people on the island that we get to strike up a real relationship with many of them and it is the back and forth with the various characters ranging from a shrine maiden to an idol to an older cousin, that made this such a fun experience for me.

Some Substance To This Island Living

I was very impressed by the depth of the content that Himegashima Island had to offer. This is a pretty stacked game; you need to mainly connect these good boy points, which are what will push you forward and unlock more parts of the island, and so on. You take on all kinds of quests that usually involve getting something or going from one area to the next. However, there are several mini-games, including a fun Pokémon style bug combat system, fishing, puzzle games, and more. It is the kind of game where you always have something to do, and it can be very easy to be on a quest and then get distracted by a couple of other things, and I mean that in a positive way.

Hanging Out In The Valley

Himegashima Island is a gorgeous looking game! I am a huge and I mean huge fan of the overall art style that this game has to offer. It is kind of like three-quarters of something like Chrono Trigger and then a quarter of something a bit more modern like Stardew Valley. With the design that Komoki has, I guess you could say that this could go in the femboy games category, but there is just something very cute and appealing about the art style here. Of course, this is classed as a lewd game, and there is some fun, risqué content here. However, those relationships that you strike up with the character can turn much more adult with the patch, if you get what I am saying.

Pros:

• I thought the main character was interesting
• You get to interact with many interesting characters
• The visuals are very easy on the eyes
• I was greatly impressed by how much variety there was in the game

Cons:

• You do need to install a patch for the hardcore content
• The femboy main character may not click with everyone
