Announced a couple of years ago at Gamescom and developed by the VARSAVA Game Studios team is finally ready to release its newest title: Giants Uprising. A title that presents an interesting twist on a premise we've seen many times before. This could be a game worth taking a look at for fantasy and medieval fans alike, and it's actually one that promises an intense gaming experience. But let’s talk about what Giants Uprising is all about!

About the game

Developers describe Giants Uprising as an action/adventure game that takes place in a medieval fantasy medieval land full of giants with destructive capabilities. This land infested with giants presents a clear threat to the player, and that is, of course, the humans. In Giant's Uprising, things go for a different turn, and the player takes the role of a giant that was enslaved but is now finally free, and it's time to destroy.

This is a twist on the more traditional approach of the medieval fantasy games that present the player with colossal threats and enemies, by turning us into the colossal threat itself. This giant is now free, furious, and looking for revenge from mankind. Now humans are a threat to the very existence of the giant race, and it is now time for the war to break loose and try to get the giant's territory back.

But of course, we’re not alone in this, as a human convict is here to help us in our mission and finding the best ways to get back at mankind. The main objective is clear: Destroy everything you can. But beware, even though they are much smaller than you, humans won’t give up without a fight, and they can be incredibly smart and tough, it’s not going to be an easy fight.

Become the monster

As soon as they hear of giants, many will think of Attack on Titan, even in the video game world since Koei Tecmo released their game Attack on Titan, based on the manga/anime by the same name. But the contrast between these two is very clear, as they share very little in common. Not only do you play as the giant this time around, but the giants are also more of a traditional style giant and less of a creep as they are in Attack on Titan.

The medieval world is cruder in Giant's Uprising when compared to Attack on Titan, and the weaponry itself is completely different. Nonetheless, they are both fun games to play if you're into all the giants' themes, more so if you want to take the place of the big destroyer sometimes.
