Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation

To say that I loved Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation is a massive understatement. I am going to go as far as to say that this is one of the best lewd dungeon crawler games I have ever played! Right from the start, this is a game that appealed to me and I legit enjoyed every minute that I spent with this. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anything that I disliked about the game, to be honest with you! When my biggest complaint is that I wish there was more game, you know it must be good.

For My Beloved

The story of Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation is pretty awesome. We play the role of a man who is devastated after his wife passes away. He hears about a dangerous dungeon where a powerful woman lives and those who can make their way to her will have a wish granted. Our wish is for our love to be brought back to life and while it may be dangerous, this is the only chance we have to ever see her again. I love this stuff, I think that it adds some stakes to the game and I really did enjoy it.

Monster Girls In The Way

You get the setup for the story of Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation and then you are sent on your way. However, you can find lore journals in the dungeon and these will flesh out the story, especially in regard to the person who runs this dungeon and the other monster girls that call it home. One of the few complaints that I have heard about the game is that some feel it could have a bit more story. To be fair, I do think that the story is here, the player just has to do some work to find the journals in order to flesh the story out.

Action In The Dungeon!

Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation is a first-person dungeon crawler, but it has some unique and skill based combat that is pretty awesome. Your attacking and blocking are done via a meter. You have to press the button at the right time, the closer to the middle you are the stronger your attack will be or the less damage you will take. It is a system that I just loved, it was such a nice change of pace from the turn based combat that these types of games tend to have. As well as fighting monster girls, there are some basic puzzles and exploration for you to do as you go deeper and deeper into the dungeon. I found this to be a ton of fun and very satisfying. Although, I will say that the enjoyment you get from the game will ultimately all depend on how you feel about that combat system. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the scrolls! As you explore, you will find scrolls and you can even buy them. These will do stuff like make an enemies attack or defense weaker.

That Super Awesome Style

The presentation of Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation could not be any more awesome. For the most part, it has a black and white retro kind of style to it and it looks fantastic. However, there is color in the game as the monster girls, well some of them are actually colored. It makes for a very visually striking kind of game and it has a great collection of monster girls. When you defeat a monster girl you get a really fun, all be it, short sex scene that is nicely animated. I am a real sucker for monster girls, but even if they are not usually your jam, I am certain that you will get a kick out of the overall style that this game has going on.
