Celebrity Hunter

Celebrity Hunter was a pretty big hit when it was first released in Brazil, and it is now getting a full global release, although, as I write this, it has not had an update in a while. Still, I thought that the premise of the story was fantastic, and I certainly liked the game enough that I will come back and play it again when (Or if) the English version of the game does get more updates. To be honest, and this is easy for me to say because I am not a game developer, but I do not understand why this was not fully translated and then released, rather than doing it in stages.

A Job Is A Job

The story of Celebrity Hunter has a ton of potential. We play the role of a young guy who is fresh out of journalism school, and we need a job. Well, we are in a city that is pretty much Hollywood, so it is full of celebrities, so our foot in the world of journalism is being a paparazzi and exposing the lives of the celebrities. There is also a bit of a moral thing here, as you have to basically stab people in the back to progress. To be fair, I liked this. I always imagine people who are paparazzi to be like this and not exactly have the strongest morals, so it was very fitting.

A Celebrity Fling

There are many love interests in the game, ranging from Pricilla, who is an actress and a model, dealing with the darker side of fame. There is Julia, who is also a student and a crazy chick who is addicted to sex, but is in a messed-up relationship. We also have a Chinese athlete called Sayuri, who was my favorite character. There were moments where she seemed nice, but then others where it was like her mask slipped. From what I understand, there are many more characters in the first release, so I am interested to see how the characters who are already here develop, but what new characters may come into the fold as well.

Getting Laid And Getting Paid

I was very impressed with the visuals of Celebrity Hunter. The sex scenes are fantastic, and I was happy to see that there were many animated sex scenes as well. There is a lot of variety here, too. I get that watersports are not everyone's thing. However, this game had one of the hottest scenes I have ever seen! The character renders are fantastic, and as this is pretty much Hollywood, of course, everyone is perfectly gorgeous. Sayuri is easily my favorite, but there was not a single character that I was not into in some way. I guess you could argue, that this has a similar look to all the other lewd visual novels that are out there.

Playing The Role

This is a lewd visual novel and it throws a lot of choices your way, pretty much right from the start. Celebrity Hunter apparently has 30 endings in the full version of the game and that is just crazy, but I can see why. There are multiple love interests and them themselves have multiple paths that the story can go. One thing I will say is that to get the best out of the game, I do think you need to commit to the part. As I said, I think that paparazzi are not the best kind of people. I mean, they stalk celebrities, and they spread lies; it is not exactly the most honest way to make a buck. I think the choices you make in the game really lean into this, as the MC is not the best guy, in that he has to make some hard choices, and that was something I appreciated. I am very interested to see how this all pays off in the end.

Pros:

• Playing the role of a paparazzi was cool
• The love interests all felt unique
• The XXX content in this game is insane and very well done
• There is a Brazilian version of the game, which, from what I understand, is complete

Cons:

• The English version is pretty slow at being updated
• Some of the XXX content may not be for everyone
