If you are looking for a fun multiplayer game to play with friends, Carry The Glass could be the game you have been looking for. This is a short experience that demands you and a friend work together and let me tell you, you will go from being best pals to yelling at each other to hopefully becoming best pals again when you get to the end of the game. Me and a good buddy of mine spent a few hours in one sitting playing through this and we had a great time!
Those Glass Carrying Guys
The premise of Carry The Glass is pretty fun. You know in some action, comedy, or whatever movies where there is a high speed chase and there are two guys carrying a giant ass pain of glass across the street, and a car blasts through it. That is kind of what we are dealing with here. The two players play as two glass carrying guys or glass carrying technicians if you want to give them a better title and their job is to get this huge pain of glass to the top of a skyscraper without it getting smashed into a million pieces.
Not Your Average Kind Of City
This is already a tough job, but Carry The Glass makes it even tougher as this is the craziest-designed city you will ever see, it looks like a level from Astro Bot or an even better comparison is New Donk City from Super Mario Odyssey! There are all kinds of gaps, tight corners, and stuff that moves and wants to smash the glass in this city and it is you and your friend's job to navigate all the craziness and get to the top of that skyscraper with the glass in one piece. It took us a little under four over and over 500 attempts to make the journey in one sitting and that is not an exaggeration, but we had a blast doing so.
To Me, To You
Only people in the UK will get that dated Chuckle Brothers reference, but if you do, you are awesome and we can be friends. Carry The Glass is very much a teamwork kind of game. You each have hold of one end of the pain of glass and as this is a physics based game, you have to be quite precise with your movements. You can get into a real rhythm that will see you guys speeding forward together, but I guarantee there will be many, perhaps hundreds of situations where one of you thinks you know best, try something, and SMASH, you are back to square one. You really do have to work together and I would wager your typical game will go back and forth between words of encouragement to each other and various foul mouthed insults regarding each other's intelligence…. Or lack of it!
These Guys Are Falling!
Carry The Glass has a very typical physics based game look, feel, and vibe about it, think of stuff like Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout and Party Animals and you will get what I am saying here. This is a very short game, you play through it once and you have seen all that it has to offer, but it is the experience of this that makes this such a fun, memorable, and in some circumstances, a rage enduring experience. I am sure my friend and I will fire this up from time to time, I am not sure now that we have made it to the top that we will have the desire to get there again, but we will have fun seeing how far we can get in a couple of sessions.
While. Carry The Glass is a very short game, to be fair, they are only asking a couple of bucks for this max and I feel like I got way more than my money's worth when it comes to the entertainment that this game provides. I will say that I have heard some people say that getting a game with a specific someone was hard, but I never had an issue with my friend joining my lobby. If you love to play online with your friends, I highly recommend this game, you guys will have a blast with it…. It may also break your friendship, but hey, if you do make it to the top of that skyscraper, I am sure you will be friends again.

Game Reviews
Runner type games where you have to get pancakes into a character’s mouth or walk in appropriate shoes are often delightful ways to pass the time. Carry the Glass takes these simple runner style games a step further by making it more challenging—it’s co-op, and you have to carry glass over similar obstacles.
You and a friend play as two construction workers who need to carry a fragile piece of glass through a series of colorful levels. The glass may need to be tipped on one side to get it through a narrow gap, or players may have to jump across water to get the glass to safety. Above all, the glass can’t break while doing this.
May Inspire Rage
Although the game is fun, make sure you have a firm friendship with who ever you are playing with. It can be maddening to get halfway through a level only for your friend to cause the glass to drop. Even when both players are professional, some bugs in the game can lead to the same maddening result. One example is the red balls that are supposed to bounce the players to safety, don’t always bounce. If you’ve played other games like Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy that can be rage inducing, know that those games feel slightly more fair than Carry the Glass. This game can be absolutely brutal for average players, so proceed with caution if you have a quick temper.
Another disappointing factor to keep in mind is that if the person you plan to play with lives in a different country, you won’t be able to play together. Right now there is no option to switch servers.
Cute Music and Graphics
As long as you’re having fun, the game does have a lot to offer. The music is great for light puzzling, and doesn’t get bothersome over the course of a few hundred panes of broken glass. The graphics are also quirky and unique, with a wide variety of different levels to keep you entertained.
Relatively Short
This game is meant to be played casually with a friend. Expect to spend 3-6 hours defeating the game. While the game itself is relatively short, the fun is in relaxing with your friends as you try to work together to not break the glass.
There’s a decent amount of replayability as you try it out with friends, compete against other couples, or generally unwind at the end of the day.
Rating: 8/10
This game has its problems, but overall it’s a lighthearted and fun way to spend your day. Keep a firm grip on your patience, and let your friend know what you are planning to do. This game is a great test of friendship, and a great way to learn to laugh off pressure.
If you get easily frustrated however, this is probably not the best game for you.
Pros:
- Fun game to play with friends
- Some replay value
Cons:
- May be very frustrating to some players
- Red balls don’t always bounce the player
