Blood Crawler

One of the most interesting things about Blood Crawler is the player reception to it. Talk about mixed reviews! I have heard some people say that this is their favorite lewd RPG, and then others say that they think it is a mess. For me, I think that for a full 3D lewd RPG, this is a very impressive game, and it does more things that I like than I do not. I do not think that it is a perfect game, but at the end of the day, this is an adult RPG that is only asking around four to five hours of your time, and I honestly do not think that it is a waste of your time to play this game.

One Evil King Follows Another

Ok, so the story in Blood Crawler is not all that easy to follow, as the translation is kind of rough. Basically, we had a king who could see the future, and this power was abused, leading to an uprising. Well, now someone else is in charge in another part of the world, and they are using their power to abuse people with abilities so that they can turn them into soldiers, and we basically play the role of the team that is trying to stop this and bring peace to the land.

Dem Bones Are Good Bones!

The frustrating thing about the story in Blood Crawler for me is that I can see that there is something very interesting here. The synopsis actually explains things quite well, and I was excited to jump into it. However, the longer the game went on and the more lore and plot points that were added. I started to have a harder and harder time following what was going on. Also, I am pretty sure there were a few times were the wrong character's name was said or given, and this really confused me. The story is certainly not bad. I truly do think that this is a translation issue.

Forget The Pen, I Will Use My Sword!

While the story of Blood Crawler may have been something that I did struggle to get to grips with. The gameplay was actually pretty solid. This is a full 3D lewd RPG, and the sizes of the areas are pretty impressive. You will need to move around, completing the quests and getting into many scraps, which is easy to do as there are enemies all over the place. Many other lewd games that go the 3D route end up feeling empty, but that is not the case here. The turn based style battles were a lot of fun and offered just enough challenge to where I did not find them frustrating. I will say that the game moves at a solid pace, and I always felt like I had something to do or was on my way to be doing something. With the speedy nature of the game, grinding is not an issue and I think I came to the end at around the four and a half hours mark.

Time To Get Dirty!

If you are expecting a non-stop sex fest with characters banging all the time in Blood Crawler, you may be a tad disappointed. Sure, we see characters getting it on, and there are some sex scenes with the enemies that we meet along the way. However, this is not throwing sex scenes at you a great deal, especially in the opening few chapters. Despite this, I like the overall art style of the game; it has some interesting character designs, and this fantasy world is pretty fun, looking like something from one of the Dragon Age games or even like a place from The Lord of the Rings series. I also liked how they actually made this place feel alive, as there were not too many empty areas with no NPCs or details.

Pros:

• I genuinely enjoyed getting into battles
• The characters were pretty well designed
• This is a solid and impressive, fully 3D lewd RPG

Cons:

• Due to the translation, some parts of the story made no sense
• It may be a tad on the basic side for hardcore JRPG fans

Blood Crawler is a hentai-JRPPG adventure game. Left by soldiers of an unknown army without parents and family, children gather in one settlement sharing one pain for all.
