With the PlayStation recently released, there needs to be a title that can really show off what this wonder of a game system can do. HS Toshinden does exactly that!
I've always loved fighting games. They were a chance to square off against your friend in a one on one competition to see who really is the strongest fighter.
This title, even more so then the other re-releases, is for the hard-core Final Fantasy fans only. Even with the updated intros and added features, modern gamers will be put off by it's classic, retro graphics.
Up until recently I thought I did not like RPG's. Every time a new game was released, I would dread getting started. The funny thing was that after I started playing the game, you could not pry me away from the screen.
This basically means taking one character at a time into a series of labyrinths under the city to beat past levels of bad guys and finally take on the level boss.
As I stated above the game has many problems. Most notably is the seemingly endless menu(s) that must be accessed in order to accomplish anything, even the simplest tasks.
In this new world you will discover special realms with new dungeons to explore and quests to undertake across various slices of time and space, from medieval Europe to ancient Egypt to 1980's Japan.
Pocky & Rocky takes place from a top-down perspective with the characters moving either horizontally or vertically through a level while defeating approaching enemies and destroying obstacles that may block the player's path.
