I get on these lewd VR game kicks and that is what has drawn me to After School Girlfriend. I was actually turned onto this by a good friend who is all about XXX VR games so I dusted off the old Oculus and decided to see what this one here had to offer. Now, I do have to tell you that the game is not yet finished, but I do like how the developer is very transparent with stuff like updates and what they are planning to add and do to the game. So keep in mind, but the time you read this, more stuff and features could have been added to the game.

Your Dream Girl

There is a character customization suite on offer here in After School Girlfriend. You do have a fair bit of things to play around with to get the girl to look just the way you want her to look. The main thing that you can play around with is the hairstyle. The whole game has a kind of cartoon look to it and it is pretty erratic with the way things move. It is hard to explain, but as soon as you start playing the game, it feels like things are moving just a tad faster than they should be.

Time With Your Girl

I would say that After School Girlfriend is probably best described as a girlfriend simulator kind of game. You get to have sex with your girlfriend and play with her in quite a few different ways and that can be fun. To try and make this an actual “game” you do also have some other activities that you can partake in. You have to stay in shape if you want her to keep liking you so there is a pushup mini-game. You need to have money to take her places and buy her stuff so there is a “working” mini-game where you need to restock shelves in a store. I do like how they have tried to put a bit of variety to the gameplay here.

Wave Your Hands In The Air

I have played a ton of VR games across three different VR headsets and I can tell you that no matter if they are a lewd game or a AAA game, they live and die by their controls. After School Girlfriend here has hand tracking that works with the Oculus hand controllers, but the controls feel very erratic.

Eventually, you do get the hang of them, but everything you do in this game has a very strange feel to it and you feel like you are constantly fighting with the controls to get things to work. Once you get it, it is ok, but it does not feel intuitive or natural at all.

When you look online at the reception that After School Girlfriend has, it is very mixed. Some people have had some major problems getting this game to work and to be honest, I can see why. It is very much still a work in progress from what I can see, but I still managed to have some fun with the game. While we come to a game like this for the XXX content, I do appreciate how the mini-games do try and flesh things out and give the game a bit more substance.
