Yuna: Reborn

I have been on a real lewd shooter kick lately, so when a friend of mine suggested Yuna: Reborn, I was pretty pumped to check it out. This is a game that is still being worked on and fine-tuned as I write this, but already, you can see the potential here, and I think what they are doing is very, very impressive. I am certainly pretty excited to see how they flesh this out and improve what is already here, as I honestly do think that they have a great base to work from here.

The Hero You Are

The first thing that we need to discuss here is that Yuna: Reborn has a very impressive character creation suite. I have heard some people say that it is very similar to Skyrim, and I would have a very hard time disagreeing with that. You can pretty much make whoever you want. For me, I went for a tall and super ripped Amazon looking chick, and I have a great deal of fun getting each of her areas just right so that she looked more like a real person and less like a genetic freak if you get what I am saying. It is the kind of thing that has a ton of options for you, but not at the expense of being overwhelming.

Let me tell you something, when I started playing Yuna: Reborn…. I did not like it! I felt like the game was brutally difficult, and it was going out of its way to kill me over and over again. However, my friend said that he had the same thing and that he read another player suggesting you play this more like an extraction shooter than a regular 3rd person shooter/action game, and you will have a much better time with it, and he was right. When I stopped caring about dying and just completing my objectives in time, I started to get into the groove much more, and I ended up having a fun time with it.

Shoot, Shoot and Then Shoot Some More!

If you think that this is going to be a walk in the park, my friend, Yuna: Reborn has other plans for you! The core gameplay here has you running around the stage, shooting anything that moves. What makes the game hard is that, first of all, you cannot stealthily kill anything; the moment you open fire, it is like everything knows where you are, and you are swarmed. The controls do take a bit of getting used to, but you need to be as efficient with your shots as you can. In the build I played, I do not think headshots did any more damage than anywhere else, but the reloading is very slow, so you need to make all of your shots count. There is also an RPG leveling up system with XP and a skill tree that you can improve yourself with.

How Do They Even Fit In There?

With the visuals of Yuna: Reborn, this is certainly something that I would very much describe as a bit of an acquired taste! The reason I say this is that this game has some pretty horrific tentacle-like creatures, and let's just say, they make sure our heroine is filled to the brim, and the game is not shy about getting up close and personal with showing you just how filled up she is! Oh wait, it gets worse, you also she her get pregnant and then an egg type thing can come out of her. None of this for me is hot in the slightest, but I can appreciate how well done it is, and if you are into tentacle porn games, I am sure you will find it pretty hot.

Pros:

• I loved creating my character
• The game is hard, but kind of addictive
• The tentacle monsters are gross and very well designed
• This could end up being one of the best porn shooter games!

Cons:

• The hit detection is not quite there yet
• The game is brutally hard and the XXX stuff was not for me
