If you are into the whole vore thing and want to laugh, Vore Town is the game for you. Actually, even if you are not a vore connoisseur, the laughs here may be so great that you may still want to play it and give it a try. I was legit laughing at some of the stuff I was reading here. The game is a top down exploration game with no real point to it, but I felt compelled to just keep on playing as I needed to know what the heck was going to be said next.

There’s No Story!

That is not a statement from me, that is an actual statement from the developer of Vore Town! They say right off the bat that there is no actual story in the game and they are kind of right. The main character that we play as is a chick called Luna and we are in this new town and we just go around speaking to people and getting involved in various vore situations. That is honestly all there is to this game as far as the story goes, you are not playing towards any kind of end goal or anything like that, it is the kind of game where you just have to roll with the punches.

Now That Is Funny

Remember in the intro how I talked about Vore Town being funny? Well, the writing in this game is absolutely hilarious and I have no idea if it is intentional or not. The stuff the characters say is just so weird and makes so little sense, even the dog, oh my goodness the freaking dog! I was cracking up at the way the dog would talk and the ridiculous stuff it would say. The stuff people say to each other is just so random that I was legit laughing, it is not even that it is just so random, it is all so weird and strange. I get why this is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but the crazy writing was easily the aspect of the game that I enjoyed the most.

Where No Vore Has Gone Before

So the story is freaking nuts in Vore Town, but what about the gameplay? Well, this game is made with RPG Maker and it is kind of an exploration style game. By that I mean you just walk around the town and chat to the people you come across and then you get to see the scene/dialogue play out between those characters. Some have more to say than others and some lead to actual vore scenes. There is not really much substance to the gameplay at all, but I was having fun as I zoomed around the town trying to see what kind of weird stuff the characters were going to say next.

Making Vore Memories

The presentation of Vore Town is right around what you would expect from a game that is made with RPG Maker…. For better and for worse. The characters have a kind of chibi look to them when you are exploring the town and “playing the game”. You have your character portraits for the vore scenes at the side of the screen and these are kind of comical as well as the bulges in the stomach look like they have pillows up their shirts. Hey, it is not bad at all, but I certainly get the impression that the art here is done more for laughs than it is to get people off if you get what I am saying.

7.5

Look, a game like Vore Town is not going to be for everyone, not just because the whole vore thing is a very specialized and niche kind of fetish. But the whole weird vibe that this game has is not going to click with everyone who tries it. However, if you get a kick out of weird and zany characters that make no sense, you are bound to get a few laughs out of this one.

Pros:

  • The dog is so freaking hilarious
  • I loved the humor that the game had
  • The vore stuff made me laugh too
  • This game does not ask for a great deal of your time

Cons:

  • I cannot tell if the humor is actually intentional
  • There is no real gameplay to sink your teeth into here, it is very basic

Game Reviews

If you are into this fetish and want a few laughs, Vore Town is well worth your time. This is one of those games that was just so weird, I could not stop playing it. I also got a kick out of the way the developer explained their game and the way they tried to get you to play it, they are fully upfront with exactly what they have here and that is cool. If you are someone who gets a kick out of randomness and strange characters, you will find more than a few laughs waiting for you here in this funky and odd town that is for sure.

Going With The Flow

When I say that there is no actual story in Vore Town, that is not just me saying, it the developer proudly states that there is no story here. Ok, so there is a “story” as we play as a woman called Luna and she has just moved to a new town. However, there is no big overarching narrative here, no end goal that you are working towards, and no big bad for you to overcome. You know, the more I think about it, the more I would say that this is kind of like a slice of life style of story….. well a slice of life story in a town that is completely bat poop crazy that is, but I am sure you get what I am saying. It is a “journey is the destination” kind of thing if you want to get all hippie about it.

Truly Man’s Best Friend!

While you may not be working towards bringing some kind of story to a big end, Vore Town does have a lot of stuff to tell you. The way the story happens is that you go from character to character and get some back and forth dialogue and then you move on to the next one. The thing is, this stuff is so damn funny, granted, there were times I was not 100 percent sure that the humor was intentional, but then I met the dog, oh my god, this dog is so freaking hilarious with the crap that it says! The writing is a lot of fun and I always liked coming across some new weirdo as I was never quite sure of what the heck they would have to say next. It was honestly the wacky characters that kept me wanting to play this game as they just came out with the most random hilarious stuff.

From Here To There

While the characters and their situations in Vore Town entertained the hell out of me. The gameplay is quite basic, but not basic in a bad way if you get what I am saying. Most of the gameplay here has you walking around this crazy town and chatting with a character where you get some “interesting” back and forth dialogue. After this you may have to go and get something or go to another place to bring this situation to a close, that is about as complex as the gameplay here gets to be honest with you. While I guess some may wish that it had a bit more substance, I think as the crazy characters are what the game is about, the gameplay does make sense here.

Is That A Pillow Up Your Shirt?

As Vore Town is made with RPG Maker, the visuals of the actual “game” are right around what you would expect, the top down view and the cute pixel art characters have a lot of charm to them and when it comes to vore games, this is one of the more charming ones out there. The game has these very well done anime style character portraits that will pop up on the side of the screen to help add a bit more drama and flair to the presentation. One of the things I got a kick out of was that during the vore scenes, the characters looked like they had a sweatshirt or a pillow stuffed up their shirts to make their stomachs look full. It made me chuckle on more than one occasion that is for sure. Actually, now that I think about it, this could be a pretty good “gateway” kind of game for those who have never really given a vore game a try before.

Sure, Vore Town is weird, but that is the whole point. I had a great time playing through this and while I get that the gameplay is very basic and the vore thing is not for everyone. The absolutely crazy characters and the stuff that they have to say made this an experience I will not forget for a while. I swear the dog in this game is probably going to be a character that I remember for years to come! If you are into vore or just love weird games, I highly recommend that you give this a chance.

Pros:

  • I got such a kick out of the wacky humor of this game
  • The dog is one of the best characters I have come across in a game!
  • The game is not too over the top gross with the vore stuff
  • I liked how it was a kind of chill game to play through

Cons:

  • While I loved the weirdness, it may be too weird for some people
  • The gameplay could have thrown a couple little extra things to spice it up a tad
